Same thing. F0 code and beeping every once in a while.

  • southernoaks Dec 05, 2008

The FO error code came on today for both my upper and lower ovens. Very odd, because the oven hasn't even been used for several weeks! The clock is working and the clear button removed both FO codes, but the rest of the panel will not work or operate the ovens. Currently, the timer beeper goes off every five minutes and the FO light for the upper oven comes back on -- pushing "clear" stops the beeping and turns the FO light off .... BUT it all repeats again in another five minutes.

This oven is 7 years old, but has had extremely light use. I live in a housing development where this was the standard oven installed -- virtually everyone has had problems with this oven, some as early as the first year. Local repairmen have admitted to my neighbors that this GE model is a lemon! Surely GE is aware that this is an inferior product -- they should offer replacement or compensation to their customers!

When we tried to turn the oven on we kept getting the 666 error code? We also turned off the breaker switch per manual instructions but it did not solve the problem. Could you help with some advice?

  • cathyf Jan 18, 2009

I have the same problem, with the same ovens.
I did pay to have it repaired, but not long after...., the same thing started. I have to shut off the circut breaker to the oven when not using or the timer will beep every five minutes! This is honestly the worst appliance I ever owned. It is definately a lemmon, but I doubt GE will ever admit to this.
My advice is to tell evryone you know...never buy a GE appliance!

Same FO display. Even after turning off the breaker, hours later it constanly beeps and displays the FO error. Piece of ****!!!!!

  • Anonymous Apr 12, 2009

same thing here, it is really furestrating, we should try to do some thing about it like take GE to court

  • Anonymous Apr 13, 2009

Did anyone ever figure out how to solve the problem? I tried the bs solutions offered in the manual, still 666 and beeping.

What part is needed to repair? Is it possible to repair?

According to the GE User manual... any F# error code means you have a function error and they suggest you press the CLEAR/OFF pad and allow the oven to cool for one hour. Then put the oven back into operation. If the function code repeats, disconnect all power from th eoven for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect it.. If it still comes back.. call for service.. however it has been my observation that F0 is usually a shorted off key on the keypad. Hope this helps..

FO ERROR ON OVEN

Seems F0 is a problem either with the control panel or with the key panel
Here is a test to find out whether its your control panel or control board:

Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.

You can go to this site to find replacements

Ge double oven f1 error model jkp55wot1

F-1 error code.
Sometimes one or more buttons on the touch panel "get Stuck"
Nothing you can do to reset them, Good Luck.
Many times it means the touch panel needs to be replaced.

I keep getting FO code and beeping won't clear

Hello George,

The F0 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F0 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced .

Double wall oven F0 error code

Hello,

The F0 error code means that the control board has detected a defect within the control board itself, the F0 code can be cleared by pushing the CANCEL/OFF button and if it goes away and returns all is well, however if a short time later the F0 returns the control board would need to be replaced.

I have a Jenn-Air double oven drop-in prior to 1997 with a FO trouble light showing. What is the usual repair for the failure?

Hello,

The FO error codes means that a button on the touchpad has shorted out and teh touchpad needs to be replaced. In some cases you will get that error code because the ribbon cable on the touchpad hasa loose connection at the clock. check that the connection is tight.
The error code can be cleared by pushing the clear/off button,if it returns the touchpad will need to be replaced.

FO beeping on both upper and lower ovens

Hi

Error code F0 means that an error with the keypad has occurred. Usually it happens due to loose ribbon cable on the keypad or the electronic control assembly itself going bad. To resolve this issue first, disconnect the power to unit and then gain access to the back of the clock assembly (Electronic Range Control/ERC). Now unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC, it would be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide and make sure that the cable is not broken and nothing is shorted on the keypad. After this is done insert the cable back and then plug the unit back to check. If the error is still there then the electronic control board should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

The keypad is non-responsive and a FO code is displayed in the upper over display area. There is also a periodic beep.

A code appears on my Dacor oven/stove that reads FO, what does it mean?

Hi bevtrust,

The error code that appears on your Dacor oven is about a stuck function key which refers to F0 error code. To fix this problem, you need to replace the oven's touch pad. If the touch pad is part of the clock, you need to replace the clock or ERC.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Error code FO

F0 Stuck touch pad Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.
