My wii will not power on. i have checked all power cords and it wont get power to it

Had the same problem it turned out that it for some reason did not like to be plugged into a power bar, make sure if that doesn't work to while plugged into the power you unplug all of the accessories and than plug them back in also try a different wall plug these units seem strange that way.

No power to Wii...checked all connections and seems to be connected properly...no blue light and power light not on...unit is less than 1 yr old!!!

I've seen this problem many times where I work, everytime there is a storm someone comes in with this problem, and everytime I plug it up at the store and it works and they never bring it back with a problem. You should try pluging it into different outlets(actual outlets not surge protectors) and maybe even take it to another location and test it. Sounds overly simple but has work 100% of the time for me.

Make sure the vents on the back and the bottom are not clogged and make sure the fan in the back is coming on. If you're a smoker then the dust and smoke build up in the machine blocking air flow. It happens a lot. If this is not the case and the unit is under warrenty send it in.

Also, try and notice if this only happens with certain games. When you say it shuts off does the power completely fail or does the red or amber light come on?
