Question about HP PSC 2210 All-In-One InkJet Printer
"Open door. Clear carriage jam and then press enter."
Nothing I do seems to help. I even took the back off and cranked paper through it manually without benefit. I can find nothing about this in the manual.
It seems as though some paper sensor is faulty or has become disconnected. How can I investigate?
Further research shows that the motor drive works, but the tabs that (I think) are supposed to lift the leading edge of the paper into the rollers, don't drop down to do so.
For carriage jam try these steps
Remove both the ink cartridges from the All-In-One. also all the papars in the tray
Unplug the power cord from the All-In-One as well as the power outlet.
Now move the carriage (carriage is the one which holds the cartridge) Too and Fro till you feel the carriage is moving smoothly.
Then insert the cartridges close the access door.
Plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet without surg protector.
Before connecting the power cord to the All-In-One press and hold the # and no 6 button and then insert the power cord, do not release the keys
until you see a message a reset (if the screen goes blank then release the keys and turn the power on)
Now try printing a test page or make a copy
