Cd/dvd writer ive got trouble with my 3 wk old hp 550 p530 laptop, its got a hl-dt-st dvdram gsa-t40l ata device that keep saying code 19, it saysthe configuration information in the registry is incomplete or damaged

Reinstall the dvd-ram by right-clicking on the dvd-ram icon then update driver and search the driver manually wait until it is finished

the driver of that device was corrupt. the driver of cd/dvd rom is built in operating system. your first step is to open device manage then right click my computer then click properties then click device manager tab then double click the cd/dvd rom drives then right click the dvd device and click update update driver software and follow screen instruction.

try to see the IRQ of that device if doesn't conflict to other device that installed in your motheboard...

go to "sTart" ,,, "all programs" ,,, "accesories" ,,,, "Sytem Tool" ,,,"sytem information"...
in the "system Summary"

click "Hardware Resources"

DVD Drive not reconized,"HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50N"


Dear Sir,

It is not problem with your hardware,it is problem with your operating system. This happens due to invalid registry entry on the system files,you may clean the registry by using glary utiliy or any other free registry cleaning software,it may solve your problem.If it is not you have to reinstall windows operating system by formatting your system drive.

Run this following fx and then restart the notebook, the DVD drive will start working normally.
