Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100
No matter what I do, I only getter letters and no numbers. This makes it impossible to call any number I don't have stored.
The Phone application on the BlackBerry smartphone automatically converts phone numbers that include letters into the associated numbers.
To key a phone number that contains letters, press the right Shift key or the Alt key and type. The letters appear on your screen, but the BlackBerry smartphone translates them into the appropriate numbers when the phone call is made.
For example, to call 1-877-BLK-BERR (1-877-255-2377) from your BlackBerry smartphone,
To lock the device, set a password. Hold the * key.
To unlock the device, press the * key. Click Unlock. Type your password.
To lock the keyboard, hold the * key.
To unlock the keyboard, press the * key
To switch the input language, hold the Alt key and press the Enter key. Continue to hold the Alt key and select a language. Release the Alt key to switch to that language.
To switch back to your original input language, press the Alt key + the Enter key.
I hope this helps

The Blackberry Pearl is like a computer that has to be rebooted every once in while. Turn off the phone and then back on again. This is how you make the trac ball start working when it freezes up. It solves alot of difference operational problems..
