I keep losing my connection plus it downloads super slow
When i do have a connection while I am downloading music the download speed starts out fast but drops down to a slow grind. I found if I disable my connection then enable it, it sometimes goes fast to slow again and sometimes stop altogether. I was wondering if it was a modem problem or maybe a usb cable problem. also when on the internet I lose my connection. If anyone can help I thank you in advanced!!!!
Re: I keep losing my connection plus it downloads super...
I have the same problem. I have narrowed the problem down to having too
many simultaneous connections.I can surf all day long with no problem
but when I start downloaded via a torrent or if I play an online game
in a room with 32 players, my connection eventually grinds to a halt.
No amount of tech visits to your house will ever uncover the problem
because your line speeds and voltages will appear normal. Swapping out
the modem for another of the same kind won't fix the problem because
the issues appears to be inherent in the modem. When downloading
torrents you'll have to limit the number of connections your computer
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Hey, the download speed of a file mainly depends on the speed of ur intenet connection. It also depends on the browser u use nad how many add-ons are enabled.Use only safari browser or mozilla firefox and disable all the unnecessary add-ons and then download ur files. For much faster speed, u can purchase or free download the trial version of Internet Download Manager or Download Accelerator Plus...
So "Music Meow" is a Big Pain, I found a easy to use and FAST music downloader, its called.... Wait 4 it......."Free Music'' :) its fast and easy to use. you install it using Cydia, just search for it. Then, this is a requirement, you HAVE to go to Apple's App Store and Buy iDownloader for $1.99, the one from Installous does not work. Then all you do is search for the song/artist you want and in most cases it downloads really fast like 30 seconds, some are slower. then you can either listen to that music through the Free Music App OR email them to yourself and drag them into iTunes and sync the music back to your iPhone. You will want to email EVERY song you decide is a keeper to yourself and sync it back to the iPhone, because if you get to many music files built up in the ''Free Music'' App you will run into problems. Also you will want to use WiFi to do this, Cellular data speed is way to slow and it will cause issues.
So you will see that you wont know how good of quality the song is till its downloaded, then you can preview it in the App and if its not the song you wanted, swipe it and delete it and download the next song in the list. usually the first song in the list is the one you want, but sometimes the 2nd or 3rd is of better quality or version of that song you want.
what is your connection speed, what kind of internet connection do you have? remember, plenty of sites have traffic and only allow a certain time for users to download, if not downloaded in that given time it will stop downloading, i suggest you go to internet cafe (they use adsl, that is extremely fast) and download it there, it is going to cost money but it will be fast due to the fact that sound drivers are huge files and take a very long time to download, if your lucky, on a slow connection
Complaint to your DSL provider for slow speed. As possible, integrate your RAM and processor. Download with DAP (Download accelerator plus) and install Google Chrome for fast surfing. Install a licensed antivirus or registry booster.
Contact your Internet Service Provider, and give them more money per month, and you'll get faster downloads.
Of course, this assumes that the file-server from which you are downloading is capable of sending as fast as you want to receive -- some servers are "busy", or deliberately are "capped", to limit the speed per connection to the server.
It could only be an interference problem. To resolve it, you need to change the wireless channel of your router. Access the router's setup page through http://192.168.2.1, look for wireless tab. Change the channel to 11 then save the settings.
Downloading torrents is usually very slow. . but you can do these steps to increase its speed to certain extend. .
While downloading a torrent just see how much seeds it has & select the which have the maximum.
You can also sort it in decreasing order of seeds by clicking the seeds.
The speed of downloading torrent changes with time most of them gets speed up in noon or even at midnight.
If you still need help mention the game(bcoz it might be a very famous game)
It is probably your ISP provider. They do bandwith throttling. A connection is allowed to download certin amount of data at high speed (e.g 12MB at the full speed) and then speed drops down significantly. This will allow very fast surfing as pages are less then limit, but downloading music and moview over the limit would be slowed down. Solution is to buy business type of internet access, which is more expensive.
