Turn off your iPod by holding down the "Play/Pause" button for two or three seconds. The screen should go blank, and your iPod will remain off until you turn it back on again by holding down the "Play/Pause" button.2 Let your iPod go to sleep. When an iPod isn't used for two or three minutes, it automatically goes into "sleep" mode. The screen will go black until you touch any of the controls. Sleep mode uses considerably less battery power.

    Hi there and velkome to lfete at Fixya

    You have to hold the power button (off button) down for about 6 seconds :O) before it switch off. The same you do when you have to switch it on

    Have a nice time over there
