You might need to turn the freezer temp. up a little. I think 0-10 degrees is good.

I have a ffa90 futre fridge & bottom frezzer. the fridge is frezzing the food in the door & in the fridge. have tryed water in botles & they get ice on it .in the door the food frezzers so

Find where the supply air is coming into the fridge part. It comes from the freezer and could easily be supplying -18 air direct to the door. This would give you a 2 in the fridge but anything in the direct air path could freeze.

G e profile refridare the frezzer and the freide are both to warm and we had to take food outof the frezzer. i hear it running. water comes out of the ice maker all the ligts work and the dors seal. what...

Hi, I once had this problem. My freezer and refrigerator were both warm, but I could still hear it running. When the repair guy came out he immediately checked the back interior of the freezer (had to remove a panel) and it was entirely frozen solid with ice. He said the defroster had stopped working, which caused the coils to all freeze. It took him about an hour to get all of the ice off. He replaced the defroster. Total cost was around $250.00.We have a GE side by side Profile, about 8 years old. Works fine now.

Fridre is about 9 years old. For the last couple of weeks it's been making louder than normal humming noises and the temp is not cold, even when the thermostat is at it's coldest, same with the bottom...

the wind tunnel in the frezzer is iced up, therefore the fan is rubbing against the ice creating humming noise. solve this by defrosting and replace fridge seals before u get sick and die! food poision is bad. termostat should work, but may need be replaced.

Ice keeps accumulating in back of fridge. We've tried cleaning drain but it doesn't seem to help.

If the drain is clean and there is sufficient space for air to flow around the food, the only thing left is to replace the door seal. It is allowing moisture to enter the freezer. The fan inside the freezer, actually burns the frost off of the food. If the seals are bad, it can never catch up.

Top freezer food gets freezer burn fast and now ice cubes and ice

Your discribing 2 opposite symptoms. But 1 thing may be causing both. first thing I think of is a defective defrost heater safety switch. It allowes the food -and freezer compartment to become too warm during defrost. This allowes the food to un freeze. then when defrost is terminated the temp goes back under freezing til the next defrost. 3 to 5 cycles like this and yes you could ahve freezer burn and icecream melting. DOes the ice cream refreeze too? If so you have to remove the freezer pannel covering the evaporastor coil inside the freezer. Locate the defrost safety.

1 of 3 kinds 2 opf these are b8-metal switches and are round and of these 2 kinds 1 is about nickel size and the other is about quarter size and both are round and can be attached to the coil tubing or the freezer wall. Usually these 2 kinds are on Refg/Freezers with no electronics on the door or thermostat.

If you have an Led or LCD display you ahve electronic controls and in most cases have an electronic thermisitor about 1" long and 1/4 to 3/8 inch dia and insulated and attached to the freezer coil line leaving the freezer or on one of the U bends of the coil. It may be attached with a plastic wire tie. (The tie could be broken but this is doubtful from discription).

1st freezer burn is usually caused by drying out of the food while still frozen. And this is why your case is so interesting by doing it so quickly. In all cases 1 the food is not in air tight containers. And the water in the food is being drawn out of it.
