The TV usually will announce that "air flow is block and will shut down" this happens very frequently; resetting this at times help, have to wait for several minutes to restart the TV; then this will just go to flickering green light followed by the red light; very annoying to be waiting for several minutes before TV can restart again....then will repeat the same pattern, sometimes with no announcement

There are (4) 1000uf @35V capacitors all together on the DM board that need to be replaced some models have 1000uf @ 16V but they are all right beside each other and all rated at 1000ufs the voltages will be stamped on the capacitor along with the uf ratings.

Its most likely the thermal fuse which is causing the problem. It gets up to operating temp then shuts down.

Sounds like your TV is overheating. How dirty is the filter on the side? Is the fan on the back turning ok:? Does it look real dirty? Is so, a good cleaning is in order. Also, there is a fan under the lamp. Can you determine if it is working...the air flow may be obstructed (from the clogged filter) and it takes some additional time to cool.

There are two convergence integrated circuits that have to be replaced. The center printed circuit board has to be removed to unsolder the chips. You might want to refer this to a local Mitsubishi servicer.

Same exact problem. It just shuts down, then have to wait for 20 seconds or so to turn the TV back on (when the light quits flashing), then another 20-30 seconds for the picture to restore, although the sound comes back right away once we re-power the TV. We've learned to hit PAUSE on the DVR right away so we can just resume from where we were, but what a PITA.
