Question about Lexmark Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

While on a site (33 page long library book sale site) I must have inadvertently hit something that gave the command to print these 33 pages! I have now unplugged the printer because I do NOT want these pages printed - and tho I turned off my computer, unplugged (I thought to reset) nothing I have done will interfere with my printer continuing to print these 33 pages. I have left it unplugged - but would like to use it for something else... It is a Lexmark Z33 - about 4/5 years old... thank you - I'm desparate

I dont have a lexmark but i think all printers are generally the same. you should be able to open up the print box, usually by clicking (or right clicking) the icon on your screen (bottom bar) once opened, you should be able to cancel print jobs, by right clicking on the document name in the list and selecting cancel. like i say i dont have lexmark, so may not help.

Manual guide for aficio copier dsm 620

Most makers have a PDF file Manual by going to the makers site and navigating to the list of Manuals. Then you can either print your own once it is fixed or keep getting it online. For a few pages you can get copies for a modest fee or free at Libraries.

Prints blank page

Have you checked the print que
Printer problems can be a real hassle.
From time to time, due to document layout or settings on your computer, in your software of choice, or even on your printer, a blank page may get "printed" with the rest of your document.
Fortunately, this issue is a simple one to troubleshoot.
Click "Print Preview" when you are finished with your document and ready to print.
Observe your document.
If you see an extra, blank page, you have created a second page.
To delete the second page, close Print Preview, go back into the document and eliminate any blank lines in your documents that you may not need.
You may also find an inadvertent page break at the end of your document.
Place your cursor on its symbol and delete it.
Locate the symbol by clicking on the Show Formatting paragraph icon in the toolbar.

Circumvent this "ghost page" if you do not see a second (or additional) blank page in Print Preview.

Specify the number of pages you wish to print, within the Print dialogue box.
This is typically done by selecting the "Print From" option, then entering the page numbers desired.
If your document happens to be ten pages (without, of course, that final blank page), then enter in the "Print From" field the numbers "1-10".
This will print only pages 1 through 10, without an eleventh (blank) page.

I have sumsang SCX3200 & I want to print my some Document & figer frm dos mod. Windows Xp is runing on my desktop pc

DOS applications cannot print on USB ports, but there's a workaround by using a share and the NET USE command, first create a share of that printer check this site: http://compnetworking.about.com/od/windowsnetworking/ht/printer-sharing.htm, (take note of the name you gave the shared printer) than you use NET USE command to connect the shared printer to a virtual port (LPT2) first click on START, than RUN, than type CMD than hit enter, type the following command " net use lpt2: \\127.0.0.1\(shared printer name) /yes " than hit enter, if you have a " command completed successfully " than you have your shared printer connected to a virtual port (LPT2) now it is just a matter of setting your DOS software to print to LPT2... and VOILA! it prints...

Good luck!

The printer gave this code : 49.4C02 Service Error. The only way to clear this was to turn off the unit. It then printed a prior job and after it printed we got this same code. What is our problem and how...

This can be resolved with a firmware update. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=412162&lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=412160&taskId=135 and select your OS. The file is version 08.170.5 (05/172010). You can check your printer's current firmware from the LCD panel. Go to Administration > Information > Configuration/Status Pages > Configuration Page and hit Print. The section Device information will have this code starting with the year of the firmware version's release.

Use firmware updates with care and do not power down during the sequence.

I hope this helps.

Brother printer taking too long to eject a printout

I'm not sure I understand your question. It sounds to me like the printer is working properly. An inkjet will spit a text only page out faster than a page with graphic data on it.

Ink Jets print the images in a "Swath" pattern. This is what gives the page the step motion on exiting a printer.

Now laser printers, since they are intelligent printers, will build an image and then transfer the image, fuse the image and eject the page in one smooth operation.

But lasers would require a "Print Page" command from the datastream to force the page ejection or trying to print outside of the no print area on the page.

For example a PCL 5e datastream would issue a hex 0x0C command to eject the page.

PostScript wouold issue a "Showpage" command.

Print job set to print 33 pages I don't want - cannot cancel!

There is an icon in the lower right corner of your screen. It looks like a printer. Double click on that icon then right click on the print job then click no cancel. It should hang there are refuse to disappear. what you do after this is to turn off your printer then turn it back on then restart your computer. It should be gone after that.
