Question about Akai PT5492S 54" Rear Projection Television

Changing input source on AKai PT50DL14

How do you change the input source on the above named TV. My TV is the one listed above NOT what is in the Product Line. This is TV is connected to DISH network. While trouble shooting the receiver with Dish the input source got changed and I cannot find in the book how to change it back. I can get to Input on the TV; I can highlight the Input area BUT cannot change the input source from TV to AV receiver where it always has been and should be again. Therefore I have no picture. Dish was helpful enough to get me into this mess but does not know how to get it back to its original state. There should be a way to change the input source - I can find it, but not change it. The different input are gray indicating you cannot enter those areas..
Thanks
Suzanne

SOURCE: TV projects a pink/green shadow

Logically proceed one source at a time = disconnect all,
then hook-up one at a time or hook-up seperately.FYI, the
RF coax , composite and s-video inputs all share the same
circuitry, whereas component is a whole seperate video
processing circuit, with another difference between 480P and
1080 I . Sounds like you have a 1080 I problem, which might
be a little sister board..............................T.

Let me know..............Thanks.

Kindly check first if the batteries of your TV remote ( medium to change input ) are fresh. After that please check again the button on your TV remote for INPUT, SOURCE, or TV/VIDEO and it should give you input lists.

Input source change on remote for tv

Are there not enough ports? You can buy port splitters to add more connections to your tv. Also, some surround sound receivers have port switchers too.

Humm coming from speakers - can't get cable to work

The RF input is the correct one for a cable signal. The other sources use the RCA and other ports which you can connect to other devices, like DVD or VCR players.

If the humm noise only happens when you're on the TV channel then it's likely just the station. Try changing the channel and see if that helps, and make sure the coax is screwed in all the way. Also make sure the other end, if connected to a VCR or other stuff, is tightly attached. If you share cable with many other people and the signal has snow (white spots on the TV), then you may need to buy an RF signal amplifier to reduce the noise.

Source changes the input (RCA versus coaxial versus component inputs), change the channel for different channels..
