Any iPod, smartphone or MP3 player at its most basic level is just an ordinary analog audio source.

For just listening, any audio device with a headphone/earbud output can be connected to any available analog Line Level input (except PHONO) with a simple adapter. They don't tell you that in the iPod manual because they want you to purchase expensive accessories like docking stations. You'll still have to control the music from the portable device. Oh well.

Hello Anonymous, you can connect your GE-1000 on the KA-1000, for that you will have to use two double RCA RCA chip cables, the first game is connected from LINE IN on the GE-1000 to REC OUT A

In order to listen to equalized, you must play through the Phono, Radio or Auxiliary input and select Tape A

How do I connect my iPod to a stereo Kenwood

The superior audio quality thanks to the Kenwood stereo system is as good as any on the market. However, many of Kenwood audio receivers contain no iPod connection port. Even the business hubs of high-end entertainment that interface with the computer via USB cannot provide connectivity to an iPod. But that does not mean you cannot high-quality audio through your stereo Kenwood iPod.

1. Put your Kenwood stereo. Connect devices with the stereo turned on may lead to spikes in volume that can damage the speakers and even your ears. Turn up the stereo, so you can use the set of connectors on the back to see.

2. Connect the end of 3.5 mm 3.5 mm to RCA cable for the headset from your iPod. If you do not have a cable 3.5mm to RCA, you can buy one of the sound equipment stores or electronics stores like Radio Shack.

3. Connect the RCA end to your cable 3.5mm to RCA in an available port on the back of your Kenwood stereo. Put your Kenwood stereo, so you can access the buttons on the front. Turn the sound and select the channel of your iPod is connected.

4. Test the connection. Lower the volume on the Kenwood stereo and start a track playing on your iPod that you can recognize. Turn your volume until you play the iPod through the stereo to listen. If you hear no sound, check the "Monitor CD2/TAPE2" is active, and "Mute" is off
I have a stereo Integrated Amplifier KA-7010, Multiple Compact Disc Player Dp-M4010. It was a gift from my brother and he cannot find the exact cables that came with the system, and I have a pair of...

More triage first.

Which unit cuts off? Signal Cables won't make either do that. Either will run just fine even without them.

CD players die.

Speaker issues or shorts will pose problems for the amp.

Do you have the manuals? If not, seek them.

How to connect a kenwood ka- 9100 to a pioneer vsx-d608

You don't say, what role the Kenwood is supposed to play but I'll assume you want to slave the Kenwood (and its speakers) to the Pioneer.

The VSX-D608 doesn't have multi-channel pre-outs so you wouldn't have local control of the volume at the Pioneer.

http://www.auctiva.com/hostedimages/showimage.aspx?gid=108365&ppid=1122&image=404270323&images=404269872,404269931,404269984,404270049,404270137,404270323&formats=0,0,0,0,0,0&format=0

The KA could be a subwoofer amp as the Pioneer has a pre-out for that.

Outs to Ins. "Power In" on the KA would be for an external volume-controlled source. Otherwise, use one of its non-Phono inputs.

Describe your kenwood manual "ka

Hi, Yes it is safe to leave this connection unhooked. The system control is what the stereo uses to remote control a cassette deck,cd,turntable etc... using the amplifier separately should be o.k. I hope this helps, good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa-Prodzilla

I have a kenwood ka-895 and i was wondering if theres anyway to run my ipod to it through an aux cord and or run a computer or laptop to it. thanks

Yes you have to first get a 2RCA to 3.5mm phono cable. Connect the 3.5mm headphone pin to either your Ipod or Laptop headphone out and the other end two RCA cables to the receivers AUX or CD or Tape input socket ( Red to Red and White to White).

No video from a new 160G ipod

There is a known incompatibility with 6th gen iPods and the DNX7100. Try to find a 5.5 gen iPod or wait until Kenwood releases a software patch.
