Question about MP3 & Digital Media Players

1 Answer

My nano just got wet in my pack [bottle water leak] as I was walking to my car. Happened about 1hour ago & I pulled it out right away. It did not stay soaked long, but bppears that some water got into power source - I tested by inserting corner of slip of paper - came back wet. I'm letting it dry out & menu functions are slowly coming back. Any recommendations?

Let it dry out COMPLETELY, somewhere nice and warm for about a week or so. DONT PRESS ANY BUTONS WHILE ITS WET

I washed my ipod chromatic accidently and theres water in the screen the ipod still plays and screen works is there a wy to get the water out

Get it in a baggie full of rice IMMEDIATELY and leave it there until the rice wicks away the moisture - it may take a few days and a change of the rice. If you have been saving those dessicant packs that come w/electronics and such - they work even better.

The black light in my ipod doesn't work after it got wet?

ok so thats what exactly what happened to me same i pod ... everything except for the circles what u need to do is bring it to the apple store and tell them what happened and the light might have eather burned out, the water got into it and shorted out, or it got disconnected when it was bouncing arround in the washer and/or dryer. so they should be able to fix it and get out the spots from cleaning it when they take it appart. I Hope this helped!

My ipod nano was dropped in water i fished it out right away and after i dried it everything came back on and worked except my blacklight but everyhting else works fine got any ideas on what i should do

Have you checked the backlight setting in the menu options? It may have accidently been shut off without you being aware of it. Also in the future if you do happen to get an electronic device wet, you can leave it completely covered in a DRY bowl of rice over night to help pull any remaining moisture from it's circuit boards. :)

The screen won't light up on my ipod, but

Unfortunately there is no solution since the water has messed up the LCD. Have you tried going to settings and check if the back light option is on?

Ipod Nano doesnt turn on AT ALL

plug it to your computer, load up itunes, if your ipod owners link comes up, find your factory reset button, you won't lose any music or info, it will just reset itself to the settings when you first bought, i had the same problem.

Ipod nano 4GB is WET

Greetings Goldenlily13,

As a mom who did the exact same thing to her 14 year olds Ipod, I can totally empathize. However the only solution I came up with was to purchase a new Ipod. My daughter still has her original one due to sentimental value, it was engraved. It still has not ever worked again and this happened in March.

Sorry I don't have a better solution.

Ipod nano got wet from water and does not work

take a blow drier and put it under it for about 5 mins. go on and off for about a half an hour and keep doing that on and off for a day or two. you just want to get it as dry as possible, inside and out.

Ipod doesn't come on

Start with these five simple solutions: Reset, retry, restart, reinstall, or restore

If that doesnt help at all then its most likely a hardware side issue, if you still have warranty contact your dealer or appel for repairs or replacement.
