Question about Kodak EasyShare M853 Digital Camera
I've had my camera only for 5 months, one other issue was resolved a couple of months ago. Right after I got it to work again, I charged it and the when I turn it on the screen is completely white with black lines and pattern on it kind of like broken glass. I take very good care of my camera and I keep it in the case when I'm not using it, I never dropped it or got it near water in fact I keep it put up on a shelf. II bought it at Best buy and they said it would be 49 to send it off to them just to look at it. I've contacted Kodak tech support and did everythin they told me to do and they were not of help, I am not sure what to do, I can't afford to buy a new one right now I'm having surgery in 3 weeks. Is there any advice you can give me on how to fix it and get it working.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

There's a chance that the drop is irrelevant to your problem. You could try using a small eraser to clean the battery contacts down in the chamber (make sure to dump out any eraser particles) and try a new CRV-3 battery, which because of it's slightly longer body produces a little more pressure on the contacts. If that doesn't work to improve things then your cam might need a repair, your call there. Good luck

I am having the same problem and it stated around the same time. May 10th. I bought mine at Target on Black Friday and love the camera. I tried online support but waited for over a hour and could wait any longer. :(

"My sister thinks it's probably because I dropped it to much (which I do)"
"I even smacked it a couple of times."
Simple NEVER buy another camera again!
