Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My phone will vibrate but will not ring. it will not even play the test ringtone. how do I get it to ring again?

you have set the ringer to silent. using the volume buttons on the left hand side of the phone press the top one. This will bring the volume screen up but you are probably in the system screen. At the top of the screen you will see an arrow press this it will take you to the ring volume. press the volume up to the required setting

I bluetoothed ring tones to my new phone. it automatically placed them in the music player. i cant figure out how to assign them to caller custom ringtones

Goto your address book, click on the contact you wish to add a custom ringtone to. Press the menu key to select "edit contact." Once you are in the edit mode, click the menu button again and select "add custom ringtone. You can click the present ringtone to bring up the browse slection. From there you can find your bluetoothed ringtone.

Hope this helps,

Ringtone

Unclear if you're using the TMobile ring tones or some that you have downloaded (or created). BION, I got longer ring times by using longer ring tone recordings. (I got mine from free sites on the net, most tones created by people from their music collections.) If you are using ring tones that aren't from T-Mobile, switch to a TM ring tone and see if that makes a difference. (If it does, then shop around for some new ring tones - the old ones were causing a problem.)

Another possibility is to check settings/phone/auto answer. Be sure this is set to "never." Also check Call Barring. Try having your blocking of incoming calls "off."

And last: put profile on "vibrate" and call yourself. Do you get more than one second of vibration? If you don't, then it's probably a phone malfunction, but if you do, it's a ring tone problem. Fairly easy to deal with. Good luck!

Can i make a song a ring tone on the g1 phone

download the free app ringdroid in the app market.connect g1 to computer and mount .drag music into music folder.then open rigdroid.the music you dragged into folder should be here.cut the waveform however you want then save. now you can go to settings and under sound and display you can assign your newly made ring tone to your default tone.

Barring a number on my samsung blackjack II

I don't think the BlackJack can Block a caller, but you can identify it as a Spam call with a Silent Ring.

Here's what I do...

Select the offending Phone Number from your Call History page, and select the SAVE soft button to Save it as a Contact. Then press SELECT to edit the contact.

Set the First name to something like: SPAM1 or Harrass1

If you already have a Silent Ring tone added, select it from the Custom Ring Tone menu (otherwise see below).

To later edit the Contact...

Go to your Contacts icon on the home page.

Select MENU soft button and then EDIT (first option) from the list to edit the Contact Name and Custom Ring Tone.

Here are 3 websites to add your own Custom Ringtone:

Music ringtones

You can't play any ringtones aside the ones that come with the phone or with a software you have to buy. I did not find any software that allowed me to play popular music ring tones. You can download one of these softwares from the palm website and try it for free. The ringtones are similar to what the phone already has, not anything that is playing on the radio

Setting ringtone

Here are instructions for setting the ringtone on a Palm Treo 750 running Windows Mobil 6.0 Professional

To change the ringtone do the following:

1.Go to Start and select Settings

2.Select "Sounds and Notifications"

3.Go to the "Notifications" tab listed along the bottom

4.In the Event field either press the middle button or use your stylus to see the drop down menu.

5.From the menu choose whichever option you want to set the ringtone for. i.e. Phone:Known Caller or Phone: Unknown Caller

6. Once you have made your choice go to Ring Type. Here you want to access the drop down menu so you can chose how long the ringtone will sound.

7. Once you have made your choice go to Ring Tone. Access the drop down menu again to cycle through the different types of ringtones. If you have music on your phone you can also choose this as your ringtone instead of having to purchase them but first some steps have to be taken in order for the music to be seen in the drop down menu. I will put that at the bottom of this solution just in case it's needed.

You can use this method to set ringtones for other things such as incoming email, messages and reminders. With Messages Emails, and reminders you can also select music that is already on your phone but I have not been able to do the same with smaller things like "Connection Disconnected".

Here are instructions for making music on your phone into a ringtone.

You may want to have an expansion card for this but it can be done without one. If you are not using an expansion card and would like to make all of the songs on your unit into a ringtone you may have to delete the music files after adding them to your ringtones.
In order to make your music available for choice in ringtone all songs must be in the "My Music" Folder prior to beginning.

Begin by following steps 1. and 2. from above then:

3.Select the "Manage" tab

4.Select Menu then select Add

5. For this part I find using the stylus is simplest. On the top left of the screen push the down arrow found under the words "Select a Sound"

6.From this drop down menu select "My Device" then click on the "Music" Folder

7.Once there Highlight the song you would like to be a ringtone then click "Select"

All done Now the music on you phone is a ringtone. Ringtones made this way can be deleted anytime simply by going into the "Manage" tab again, highlighting the song you wish to delete, Selecting "Menu", Then selecting "Delete"
