We've recently moved and are trying to rehook up a DVD to our 19" Emerson TV. Everything appears to be hooked correctly, but there is no tv/vcr button on the remote for either the dvd or the tv and we cannot discover how to get it to view on the tv. (We've used this combo in the past, but cannot get it to work now.)

If you have connected the audio video out of DVD to audio video in to the TVs front panel; what else to do?. Power up both the devices, goto the menu option of your tV, set it to vidieo mode, open the tray of the DVD by it open-close button, put a dvd disc in, push open close button of the DVD again, take the remote control of the DVD; select the chapter you want to see, sit back easy and see the recordings on the disc. That is all. OK.
If the three cables are yellow, white, and red, then the red doesn't need to be plugged in. The yellow is for the video signal, the white is for one sound signal, and the red is just for a second sound signal (not necessarily important). Everything will work fine if the red cable isn't plugged in at all.
The easiest way to connect the unit is via coax. You can come out of your satellite receiver via the "Out to TV" on the back of the receiver to the "In from Ant" on your DVD/VCR combo. You can then connect another coax from the "Out to TV" on the DVD/VCR combo to the "Ant/Cable" input on the back of you TV. Make sure the satellite receiver and the vcr are both modulated to the same channel, normally channel 3.
