My computer have no sound

first right click my computer in the desktop then properties then hardware then device manager then expand the audio,vedio and game controller see wether the driver is installed properly if not installed it will show yellow question mark the reload the correct drives from the cd which you recived with your computer install the audio software and restart the system then in the taskbar you will see the speaker icon right click them click adjust audio properties in volume move the slisders to full on uncheck the mute then restart your computer

remove it from device manager and see whethrer there are any resource conflicts

hi i have now offic7 and when i instsll my creative sound card no.580490 throw my oregnal cd. some part of program did'nt work like amixer etc.and alaway's i got this not on my computer . thes deveic not deteceted ?\r\npleas help me

4. double click on the sound,volume and controller
5. if any yellow color pointed is displayed on any option then right click on the option and uninstall it
6. then select Action from the menu bar on the top and select scan for hardware changes

**** after doing this.. you can check the follwoing steps for trouble free ******

10. then it will start scanning your new hardware and ask for the installation drivers.

go to dellsupport.com and redownload the audio drivers for your system. Hope that helps.

WHEN YOU PLUG IN THE SOUND CARD WHAT DOES IT DO OR DOESNT DO?

IS THERE ANYOTHER CARDS PLUGED INTO THE MOTHERBOARD TOO.
DID YOU REMOVE OLD DRIVERS FIRST,
ARE YOU HAVING ANY OTHER PROBLEMS RUNNING OF SOFTWARE.

Explanaition:
This delay you are experiencing is called latency. All equipment or signal processing unit introduces some latency even if extremely low.
Computer tends to be a lot worse than outboard gear.

Solution:
Look for Asio4All, this little driver will help you improve your audio input latency. And remember, the smaller the buffer size the lower latency you get.

Try removing the sound card thru the dive manager and let windows redetect everything. This will usually fix your sound problems. Sounds like there is a bad driver somewhere? Let me know how it goes and I will give you futher assistance if this doesn't work.

had the ame problem two weeks ago. computer progressively getting slower then no sound. I have reloaded operating system which got rid of the virus ( if that was the problem)and now it all runs as fast as before and the sound came back to life. hope this helps
