Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
Nintendo DS lite does not read DS games but will read Gameboy games. To my knowledge, the DS has not gotten wet.
Some pins were bent in my son's DS. I used a mini LED light and an open paper clip as a pick to bend them back into line.
I then got an Emory board (nail file) and wet the tip in alcohol, the board is the right thickness to just reach the copper pins. I went in and out gently as I worked my way across the lot and kept wetting the file with alcohol. All the games worked like it was new. be sure to do this upside down so the alcohol drips out the slot along with the filings. good compressed air blow after you are done to get all the strays out of there.
The pinds are copper and they do oxidize and the games left in gets moisture trapped between the game and the pin causing some corrosion. Maybe diddimilar metals by alloy but wither way this fix works ! : )

Looks like a defective Slot1. DS Games are using different pin-connectors in Slot1. There is a possibility that one of more connector-pins for using DS games are not making contact
