Any device you set up with a password, will see the same password it was set up with. If you forgot the password, perhaps a reset of the apparatus will set it back to factory settings and you can start over again, but all data saved will be lost.
New devices from Apple, with iOS 7 and up, can't even be reseted, if you don't know the passcode of the account where the device is connected to.
