The same comparisons with other forms of electric heat (i.e., radiant, electric strip baseboard, etc.) are the same. The difference is cycle time - the liquid-filled electric heaters turn on and off less frequently than strip-type to maintain thermostat temperatures. This also means that the unit's temperature will swing more widely than the desired average thermostat setting (the liquid's temperature will signal the thermostat to turn off power, but the temperature will continue to climb; similarly the liquid will signal the thermostat that it is cool enough to engage power but the liquid will continue to cool after power is engaged - similar temp swings with hygronic heating systems). Some say that the liquid-filled units are safer, but the manufacturer's installation guidance is usually the same between strip and liquid-filled so both pose an equal safety hazard.

Why does the dometic take so long to wash

Hello KAREN DOWLING,

The number 1 reason new generation washers take
EXTENDED times to wash... is the operators
FAILURE to read & heed the need to use te new
HIGH EFFICIENCY DETERGENTS... ("HE").

It may take a while to restore your machines efficiency if this has been going on for a while... USE of common detergents overpowers the sensors that are critical to the
PERFORMANCE of the "HE" washers and it takes
good hot water and proper cleaning agents to restore that efficiency.

There are remedial cleansers that can be purchased and used ...
or the machine my simply NOW NEED REPAIR.

It is ALWAYS best to follow MANUFACTURES
instructions...

The "HE" instruction was not a SUGGESTION...
It was a MANDATE.

How do I fix my electric heater

  • sounds like the sensor or bulb that tells it to start the blower is defective/ im not familiar with your unit but this seems the most logical answer most furnace will not turn the blower on right away usually 90 seconds after the ignition but will also run longer to exhume any dangerous carbon monoxide. Electricic heaters are different. What type of unit do you have

Electric Furnace stopped running

You have one of two problems. Either the capacitor for the motor has failed or the motor has failed. I would turn off the power to the unit and see if you can locate the capacitor and remove it. An ac supply or electrical supply house can match up the capacitor. This is relatively inexpensive. Otherwise you will need a new motor.
