Go to network connections in the control panel. Right click the wireless connection >> properties >> in the white box there is Internet Protocol TCP/IP click it, under that box is another properties box, click it.

Make sure that its set to automatically obtain ip and dns.

If this is not the solution please wright back in detail what errors if any occur.

Hp pavilion dv6 won't connect to broadband but is connecting wireless

Wifi is broadband. Look in network properties and make sure only one network adapter is available. Microsoft systems seem to have trouble getting online when more than one is on. Disable the wifi and see if it changes. You may have to restart to allow the router to give it an ip address.

My Chromebook netbook won't connect to my home wifi

That is weird. Does the Chromebook see the wireless router? I just looked on Google's Chromebook website and it says that the Chromebook works with any security setting. What type of Wifi router do you have at home?
This is the Google page talking about Wifi connection issues.

Can anyone advise me please, my acer 4220 says I'm connected to my wifi with full signal but when I try and start the Internet it won't connect.

Possibly a router issue. It shows the connection but it must be completed through the manufacture website.

I have just purchased an eMachine e350, I am having trouble connecting to wifi through the home router(it is on)...I am putting in the security key code but it is saying it is a mismatch...my fathers...

I understood your problem...first check your laptop WIFI is on/off....after switching it on it automatically search for WIFI connectivity arround you...

If your father's laptop find/access that WIFI device then you have problem in code authentication....best solution is that you should remove authentication check....before connecting ..

Second thing is that such a problem cause due to improper installation of of wirless broadcom drivers for your eMachine e350......so ultimately you should re-install wifi drivers from provided CD/DVD...

Restart your device it automatically detect hardware and functions properly...
