HP printers have a panel door which you can open when a paper jam happen..it is usually located at the back of the printer.

Step1Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.

    Step2Turn off the printer.

Step3Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.

Step4Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.

Step5If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.

Step6 If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly (see A). The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

Step7 If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper (see B). Don't force anything, though.

Step8Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.

Step9If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

Trying to print and an orange light is constantly flashing, checked ink cartridges and paper jams but no problem there

I have had this same thing happen to my 960c! The ink cartridges were new/full (but must have been faulty). I replaced them with different/new ink cartridges, which solved the problem.

Another idea is to uninstall the printer and install it once again.

Good luck!

Indicator light reflects no paper, but after paper inserted the light continues to flash and the printer won't work

Hi,
if you inserted the paper in your printer and you still having the error so this is not a paper error,

check is your cartridge carriage moving or not when you turn on the printer,
if the cartridge carriage not moving so this is might be the error of cartridges or cartridge carriage is not working,
try to remove your printer cartridge and clean it and if the error keep coming you need to take your printer to any local repair center. because its not a user service part.

Thank you for using Fixya

Out of paper error

Hi, the HP printers tell you what's wrong by using the lights on the front. Depending on which lights are on/flashing/off will give a different fix.
If you can let me know the sequence of lights (i.e. resume light blinking plus cartridge light on etc).

Cheers
Shaun

Paper Jam

I have exactly the same printer, here's how to remove jammed paper.
1. Unplug printer from mains and your computer. 2. Turn Printer around 3. There is a darker-grey panel with a knob in the middle of it. Turn the knob anti-clockwise to release the panel 4. The jammed paper should loop around the roller. Gently pull on the loop slowly until it has released fully. 5. Put the panel back on the printer and turn knob anti-clockwise to lock it into place.
Hope this helps.

Deskjet 930c printer

Good for you for being on the internet and posting the question! The yellow light usually means, paper, ink or a jam. If it's got paper and ink, check for jams and even power cycle it and see if that helps. And try printing, it may just be reporting low ink. Good luck!
