Question about Dell Inspiron 1501 Notebook
Be sure to check the status of the battery in the bios. you can enter the bios by powering on the computer and tapping the F2 button on the dell logo. once in the bios check the status of the batter y and the AC adapter. If you get the message AC adapter type not determined it is a bad AC adapter or a bad motherboard (in most cases it is the ac adapter). if you get the message battery not recogonized try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. if the message is the same and the system is outside 1 year from the date of invoice get a new battery as the battery has a one year warranty only. Try using a good known battery is available to test.
