Well, the best way to setup security is through a BIOS password. This bypasses any operating sytem and doesn't allow any user interaction until the password is entered. Also, a user cannot edit anything in the BIOS without a master password.

Most BIOS systems can be entered by pressing delete during the initial startup of the machine.

As for windows XP, the only true security it has is the startup password. Which is setup through the users menu in control panel. You can, however, setup advanced security and disable many abilities of other users using the Administrator account on your operating system.

How do i disable my password when i logon

Someone set a policy on your machine to enforce certain rules about passwords. Best to ask this person to modify these rules for you. Alternatively you can run gpedit.msc, then follow this path to change them yourself: Local Computer Policy / Computer Configuration / Windows Settings / Security Settings / Account Policy / Password Policy.
Note also this:
- You cannot delete the inbuilt Administrator account.
- Having administrator accounts with a blank password is a big security risk.

You can disable bios security passwords by disabling them. Go to bios by pressing F2 at splashscreeen. Find administrative passwords and then disable. You will need to enter the password to disable.

If the password you speak of is not in the bios but the windows. Go to control panel, users and remove password.

OUt of warrenty and need to restore settings/computor.I cant log on in administor account. cant even create an administor account. can you help?

If this is Windows XP, have a friend download and burn the Ophcrack bootable CD. Boot it and follow the directions. If your password is no longer than eight characters, then it will recover your password for you. Results head south when passwords are both longer and more securely structured, especially in Vista, but I've had only one "lost XP password" it could not locate for me in quite some time.

Hey man wat good i was asking u i lost my administrator password and how can i get it back

Windows Key is an easy-to-use tool to gain access into any Windows system if a login password is lost. The software allows you to reset passwords in a matter of minutes - no need to reinstall the system.

Windows Key creates a password reset CD, USB Flash Drive or a driver floppy that work during the boot process and instantly reset Administrator or other account passwords and Windows security settings that prevent you from logging in.
