Hi nikid,
Welcome to
Huuum at your service,

Did you try to reboot or reset the system as we call it?
Pull the plug, OR throw the breaker off , either for 5 minutes and then restart it.
This will usually reset the error codes and get you back running .
let me know hoe you make out?
See if that fixes the problem by resetting the system.
Bess You Huum

Kenmore Elite HE3 gas dryer, runs ok for 5 minutes, then keeps shutting off with an E1 message. Thanks for helping. I read it might be time for a new thermistor. Where can I buy that part? Is it easy to...

First you'll want to pull off the top and try and wiggle every connection you see to the board located in back right. An E1 is a "faulty control" message a few hundred bucks for the part I recommend you use a service company they may charge 200.00 in service and labor, but you'll get at least a ninty day warrenty. And only they can switch out electrical parts ... You'll find it much less headache in the long run.

I constantly got E1 Error code on my Kenmore Elite H3 GAS dryer

E1 error code indicates an open thermistor or open thermistor circuit. A thermistor is a component that relays the temperature in the dryer to the control board. If the thermistor has failed, Error code E1 will be displayed.
You need to call a repair person to fix it.

Dryer will not stay running through entire cycle or it will just stop before clothers are dry and sometimes get a E1 error message. Mostly it will just stop and clothes are not dry, times that is runs...

Most customer manuels have a code listing in the back? Have you checked to see what E1 is? It sounds like its not sensing properly. the sensor works off the the most common problem is the vent or venting. Please check and advise
