Question about Panasonic Microwave Ovens

1 Answer

I bought the panasonic A574SB in January this year. Since having this occasionally the microwave part cut out after 6-10 seconds, at first I thought this was saftey device. the microwave will now not work it cuts out all the time after 6 seconds. Is this an easy fault to repair or should I be asking Panasonic to replace? Many thanks

According to a report we received, if it stops after 7 seconds, it has a problem with the inverter.

Since it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty.

I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

Microwave cuts off after 30 seconds

We would need to know the brand and full model number to be sure, but since you posted in the Panasonic section, I'll assume it's a Panasonic.

Panasonics have preset times in which it will shut off if certain failures occur.

If it stops at 16 seconds and is a sensor model, it probably has a defective humidity sensor.

If it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a problem, usually a problem with the inverter, controller, magnetron, or a bad connection from one or the other.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

Panasonic Microwave Problem

Even though these are different symptoms, the same part may be causing both.

If the digital programmer circuit / controller does not get a feedback signal from the inverter for a period of 3 seconds, the controller will stop the cook cycle.

Microwave is not turning

Probably the turntable motor has failed.

Has anything ever spilled down in the the floor of the oven?

As long as it's not due to an external cause, it has a one year warranty.
