Software compatability we had a dx6340 & another one a year more recent after it was stolen that went kaput on us and I no longer have it for the model number. I have been offered a c613 but want to know my dock/charger and cables for the 6340 would be compatable, as they have lost them for the 613 Thanks

Hi

The DX6340 and C613 have different dock ports on the bottom so you can't use the same dock for both cameras without an adapter. The two cameras also have different USB ports so you will need a new USB cable.

Im certain you can find both for cheap online, don't pay $20 each at a store, get them for $1 online. I won't say the name of the auction website, I don't feel like advertising for them for free.

Hope this helps.

I need the software to be able to download to computer for dx6340

Do you really?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

If you want Kodak's Easyshare software, you can download the Windows version at

and the Macintosh version at

Try and use a card reader.
If your cable is faulty it will be dif. to find another since KODAK no longer produce this particular cable.

Battery won't charge on printer dock any more?

I had a similar problem. If you look in the battery compatment you will see a small switch in the keyway that gets pressed down by the key (the plastic rectagualr bump out) on the side of the battery, if the battery is loose the switch does not get pushed down and the dock does not recognize the battery as a Kodak Batery that it should charge. I solved the prblem by taping a singe piece of paper on the opposite side of the battery so that when it slides into the slot it pushes the switch down, I've nver had a problem since.

I have this camera once you remove the case screws than when ever you seporate the case the door will come out. I repair these all the time and if I have on in stock it is only 25.00 to get it fixed. I beleave you can order one directly from kodak also.

DX6340 WILL ONLY POWER UP WHEN ATTACHED TO THE EASY SHARE PRINTER DOCK

It's the fuse in the battery circuit - happens frequently but Kodak won't acknowledge a problem with the model. Repair costs aren't worth it vs replacement - and Kodak won't repair if not under warranty
