Thanks, will have a look at the valve.however, the machine is only 14months old!

    Hello

exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday. We have checked all filters, disocnnected and reconnected the water supply, reset the machine, but it still shows "check water supply". Water does come into the machine, but after about 1 minute the fault light comes on again.

If it is the water valve, where is this and is it something I can fix myself?

    Thanks

Hi jane_taylor4

The water valve could be bad. Depending on how old the dish washer is there was some prolems with the older water valves. the water vavle is the most common problem with the bosch dishwashers when water will not come in.

Hello well you sure have the top of the line unit. You will have to pull it out and turn it over and remove the water pump and check for blockage the impeller should move when you turn it with your finger if not then replace the pump.

Dishes dosn't come out clean.

First perform a vinegar cycle wash in the dishwasher. Pour a cup of vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher. Keep the temperature at the highest setting possible and perform a wash cycle. Then start using a dishwasher most probably that would solve the problem. If this does not solve the problem then there must be some parts worn out or faulty creating the problem.

There are many probable causes of failure .

To clean the dishes the water temperature is essential. It the water is not hot then the dishes will not be cleaned properly. So check the water temperature.

Also check the filter in your dishwasher.Clean the filter if there is accumulation of debris in the filter.

Water is not coming into the machine despite making the sounds that the machine is trying to proceed with the cycle?

First make sure water to machine is on.
Second There is a filter screen between the inlt hose and valve. It is clogged remove clean and replace.
Third If this does not solve problem then replace valve..

Have no water getting to my dishwasher i have filled salt and rinse aid as the lights were on on the last time it worked tryed all the advice what can i try next

No water ! - check the flow first at your tap end or the at machine entry gland nut. Clean the filter by pulling it out. It will be small in size.

If inlet valve not getting opened also will lead to this problem.

For trying other functions,

Try pouring water from the front 10 to 12 litrs. Close the door and check. If washer starts it's cycle the m/c is OK.

Dishwasher does not clean dishes, soap does not fully go away

Water Inlet Valve

A dishwasher's water inlet valve is its most common part to fail. When your dishes are not being fully cleaned, quite often a faulty water inlet valve is to blame. Test your dishwasher's water inlet valve, and if it is no longer functioning as it should, you will have to replace it.
Heating Element

Water temperature is a key element in achieving clean dishes. A dishwasher's heating element is not designed to heat the water that enters it. Rather, the heating element is designed to maintain the heat of the water that enters the dishwasher. Its a good idea to run the hot water in your sink for a couple of minutes before you run the dishwasher. Just to make sure the water is nice and hot before it enters the dishwasher. If the water is unable to stay hot, it can adversely affect your dishwasher's cleaning ability.
Filter/Drain Grate

There is a filter in your dishwasher. Its function is to keep large particles of food and foreign objects away from the pump. Many of the newly-manufactured dishwashers have self-cleaning filters, and routine cleaning isn't a concern. However, some other dishw ashers need to have the filter removed and cleaned regularly. If the filter or grate is clogged or blocked with debris, it may interfere with the normal functioning of your dishwasher. Consult your owner's manual for specific directions for removing your dishwasher's filter and cleaning it.

  • . Detergent or Detergent Cup

It could just be that you aren't using enough soap to completely wash your dishes. Your dishwasher may be designed to dispense soap at two different times during the wash cycle. If you don't fill all of the detergent cups, then the diswasher will lose a cleaning cycle. Also, if you use a gel-type detergent, try switching to a powered kind. Powders tend to dissolve better in hot water. And don't buy in bulk. Detergents are most effective in the first two weeks. After that, they decrease in potency.
Alternatively, your dishwasher's detergent cup could be defective in some way. It is possible that it is gunked up full of built up detergent, and a thorough cleaning may be enough to get it working again. If that doesn't do the trick, you probably need to replace the entire detergent cup assembly. If your cup isn't even opening, My dishwasher detergent cup won't open.

    Cycle Selector Switch
Sometimes a dishwasher's cycle selector switch is the reason why dishes are not coming completely clean. Test your selector switch to determine whether or not it has become defective. If it has, replace it.

Another inlet / drain light cycle interruption problem!

When the water stops too soon, it could be the "over flow" is stuck in the downward position, therefore the dishwasher thinks it's going to over flow. Check that out. Otherwise I'm afraid this sounds like the circuit board is shot.
