I have a Logitech Cordless Internet Pro Desktop-OEM 2.22 build 289 description, purchased in 2006 with a Packard Bell iMedia pc (1608 model).

    Keyboard: Mouse:
    Logitech Logitech
Cordless Internet Pro Cordless Optical Mouse
    Model name: Y-RKJ56A M/N: M-RR95
    P/N: 6942770001 P/N: 831333-0000
    PID: Z538A1018U S/N: LZC52151954

Recently the remote connection has been playing up. So new batteries fitted to mouse & keyboard, computer started up and devices' buttons pressed for 5 seconds each: receiver/transmitter, then mouse, then R/T again, then keyboard. Got some partial response, then died totally. Have repeated this process many times with no fix. PC works OK with ancient wired mouse and keyboard. Tried introducing an updated driver, but failed. Also tried to restore to earlier date (when all was working OK), no luck, so restored back to current point.
Have not got a dedicated CD or Tech Book for cordless kit, only PC's DVDs (2). Wary to use these, as may cause more problems to the PC.

PC Tech Book refers to cordless keyboard & mouse, but very basic instructions, no troubleshooting other than turn-off and reconnect by pressing the buttons on R/T & keyboard & mouse combo.

Would really appreciate some help. Thanks.

Hi there: I was also facing the same problem. But when you see on back of the keyboard the instructions are there. or follow these steps.
1. insert new batteries both in keyboard and mouse. 2. decide what device you want to connect 1st (Lets connect Keyboard first) 3. Pres and Hold the connect button for both key board and receiver for about 5 secs. 4. don't press any key on key board till 10 secs (During this time it trying to connect with receiver) 5. Check the key board connectivity if it works then take it away or put it behind some barrier so that when you are connecting the mouse it don't interrupt. 6. now for the mouse do the same process as you have connected the keyboard.(step 3 & 4) 7. now check both key board and mouse they will work fine. Thanks

Wireless mouse doesn't work

This problem was happening on my system but i managed to fix it easily! What has happened is your itouch software has become corrupt so it will only recognise your keyboard thus the usb connection. You will need to download/install off disc onto your computer again but do NOT go to uninstall program manager on windows as it will not appear there because even though you can access the itouch configuration panel, the database is corrupt and the administrative system will not recognise this. Just download/install via disc and it will just install with no alerts unlike most programs which will recognise the program is already installed onto the system. Once the setup is 92% it will freeze for a second then the found new hardware window will appear on screen go through that process and your mouse is back to normal and your keyboard will work via itouch software.
(Please note that this will only work on windows)

Cordless Mouse & Keyboard install I need help

if you have a disc for the new items ,install first, shut down pc, then take the old mouse & keyboard off connect the new wireless ones before rebooting
you may need to sync the mouse & keyboard by holding in the small little button on each item and the reciever unit untill the lights come on indicating it is recieving the signals from both mouse & keyboard.if this does not work put the old mouse back in reboot then go into control panel / mouse, and sellect wireless mouse ,turn off the pc plug the new mouse back in then boot up

good luck
