About a Lex mark printer, Z618

I would suggest downloading a driver for the Z6xx series from Lexmark page:

From the tabs near the bottom of page (Answers/Top Documents/Publications/Drivers) choose Drivers and download the package for your operating system.

I don't see why it wouldn't be. Try running the driver installs in windows 98 compatability mode. Right click on the file go to properties and find compatability

Lex Z515 driver

If your computer has windows vista, choose the file that says for windows vista. If it is windows Xp then choose the one for Windows XP.

You could try going to the Lexmark site.
www.lexmark.com/US/support/drivers/

if you can go onto internet with your laptop go to the epson website and you will be able to download the program hardware and software for your printer from there and save it to your laptop.hope this is of use.

On the Vista computer, right click on printer, go to sharing tab, click on Additional Drivers button. On the next screen you need to select Windows XP.

This will ensure that whenever a print request is queued from any computer that runs on Windows XP, it will process the request on the Vista machine.

You should also try to ping the printer. You should also check if the computer is able to share files with Vista machine.

The z618 is actually the z617 made special for disney so you can download the z617 driver and it will work just fine.

i am attempting to install the disney z618 onto my dell. i have the disc but nothing is happening. im n ot sure what i should do .please any help woulod be greatly appreciated.thankyou

This should be installed automatically. However, if you have already installed the cd that came with that printer, you will need to first remove it with an uninstall utility that I can email to you if you provide an email address. Then see if vista installs it automatically. If it does not, then you will need to download the vista driver from Lexmark's website and install it.

I can give you the direct link to the website but you will need to provide me with a more accurate model number (e.g. Z617 or Z618)
