    • 3 Select from high, medium or low for photo quality. The higher the quality the faster the camera will drain the battery. Be sure to use flash for indoor photos.
    • 4 Hold the capture button slightly. This will let the camera figure out the correct F-stop and light reading.
    • 5 Take the camera adjust the aperture on the lens and focus your subject in the LCD screen on the back.

Needed: 35mm single lens reflex variable aperture, shutter speed & focus. Can b overridden to manual operation for class. What should I buy?

Just about every 35mm SLR ever made fits that description.

Three that will more than suit your needs are
http://www.nikonusa.com/Nikon-Products/Product/Film-Cameras/1689/FM10.html
http://promaster.com/products/products.asp?product=5364
http://www.vivitar.com/products/8/professional-and-slr/34/v3800-50

This camera has been called the finest 35mm SLR ever produced, but it's probably overkill for a class:

I have an old Rolleicord Camera.Am I able to find out more about it from the number (5574350) on the bottom lens?

No, the number on the lense is only the lense serial number. Lenses are/were made by companies separate from the manufacturer of the camera. Generally, if you search for Rolleicord on Google you can find pretty good information but you may have to do some digging to find something that looks like your model. The best bet, is to go by the make/type of lense to narrow it down. Rolleicords were made from the 30's to present day, with various features and lense types, mostly Schneider Xenar's or Zeiss Planar's. You can buy a brand new Rolleicord 2.8G today, for around $3000us, so the look of the camera can really lie about it's age.

Search for things like Rolleicord (lense maker) (lense type) (lense f/number) (shutter type). Shutter type will be Compur MX, MXV, Synchro-Compur M, MX, MXV, etc. Possibly also Compur Rapid. Shutter speeds can also narrow it down, but I believe all Rolleicords were B-500 shutters.

What kind of camera, and film, did you buy? Polaroid discontinued production of film in 2006, and the only remaining film is old stock, or available from the impossible project. There are other types of film available, but not compatable with all types of polaroid cameras. This information will have a HUGE impact on the solution to your problem.

1) Type of camera (not just Polaroid, they made HUNDREDS of models)
2) Type/Size/Brand of film

I need the brand new price for a minolta riva zoom 70 af please

These have not been sold new for a while (in the UK).

Do you mean the price of an equivalent camera, or the price (some years ago) when you could buy it new, and in which part of the world.

You can get a lot of them "as new" - from £5 - £20 (inc shipping) on eBay .. for example ....

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=minolta+riva+zoom+70

Local charity shops int the UK would have a price tag of £1 - £5 on it nowadays ,and not expect it to sell. Film cameras have died a death here, and this minolta was never a top rated model.

Hi,

The SX70 film pack contains the battery that allows the shutter to activate. Unfortunately you may have a difficult time finding it. Below are a couple links with some good SX70 info. The second one even has a link to the user guide in PDF format. I think the Q-light was on some of the One Step cameras. is that what you have?

Thanks for using Fixya. Good luck.

I did find a site that sells the film...at $24.50 a pop!

You may find some additional info there too.
