This is what it says on the user guide of your computer:
Opening the computer
Before removing any panels or covers, please make sure to shut off the
computer and unplug the power cord from the outlet.
• Remove the two screws on the side panel.
• Slide the panel back and off.

looks simple.. but becareful if you're going to use your strengh.. make sure you have some room around you... and make sure the screws are removed.. also make sure.. you're removing the right panel and you're pussing in the right direction.

Hi I have a accer aspire t180.I just installed Xp 64bit but i can not find any drivers for it could you be able to point me the right way

go to acers website and search for the model number you should be able to find all the drivers that were originally installed for that PC. If you have any aftermarket devices use the install disk for them- you could google it as well.

Thanks,

Need a password for my acer t180, so that i can restore factory settings

It appears that someone has placed an Administrator password on the machine. To reset the Administrator password, unplug the desktop, open the side cover, remove the CMOS battery for 10 minutes. Then replace the battery, cover, plug the machine back in and reboot, hitting ALT+F10 at the same time to enter the recovery mode.

I can not get the side cover off my acer t180 I need help!

Viewing the back of the computer, there are two screws to remove on the right side panel, at the rear.

One close to the top, one close to the bottom.

Make sure the screws are going through the side panel itself.

After you remove them you pull back on the side cover with one hand, holding onto the computer tower with the other hand.

Sometimes the side cover is tough to pull back.
(Be SURE the computer is unplugged from power)

Would appreciate hearing the outcome of this.

I need a recovery disc for my accer t180 desttop please help

Contact Acer for your Disk, check the Acer Site in : http://www.acer.com/public/home.jsp for contacts for your country.
You cannot download it from the internet cause recovery disks come with a Pre-Activated and Installed Operating System and are therefore valid for machines for wich they were built.
