IF you have a wireless modem/router and yous wish to hook up your xbox 360 into it, you need to purchase a wireless networking adapter for the Xbox 360 because the Xbox does not come with a built in wireless card. Once you have that accessory you can configure the wireless network in your console.
What do you mean hook ups? Is it for the connection to Xbox live? If it is. Its always wise to connect using a hard wired connection. Trust me. Wireless connection on the Xbox 360 is not as good as the wireless connection to your router. Its because of the Wireless adapter that little thing with the gray antenna. Its really weak.
on the face of the xbox there should be a little circular button with three little curved lines next to it, on the front of the controller there should be a similar button that is located between the bumpers what you do is press both of these buttons the ring around the xbox and controller will start flashing in unison and the controller should be connected after you see one light in the upper right around the Xbox button both on the controller and on the xbox... i hope i was able to help you
Does the westell router only have 1 ethernet port, if so a ethernet hub would be better, they can be baught for about £10.
You will need to input your account settings for your broadband conection into your new router for it to work, with this router all you actually need to do is connect it to the 360 with an ethernet cable, if you want to use it wirelessly you need to buy a wireless adapter for the 360 for about £30 - £60 depending where you buy it.
If your console is hooked up to Xboxlive and has a Hard Drive connected to it you will automatically be prompted to update upon insertion of the original Xbox title. Your console will restart when it's ready and you should be able to play.
*If you do not have a Hard drive you cannot play original Xbox titles.* The original Xbox Memory unit will not work in Xbox360 and the original Xbox games have no access to the Xbox360 memory units.
If you have a Hard Drive but your Xbox360 is not hooked up to the internet you can either order a disc for free from Microsoft by going Here
or burn the needed information onto a disc by going Here
The ive used many fans such as the interloper, and they all were faulty, didnt work very well, and some were extremly loud.
The pelican, although, is what I us now, and I have yet to find anything wrong with it, the looks are kinda weird but its worth it, also rememberto turn the fan on/off at the right times, because its powered by usb, and theres power feeding through it constantly while its turned on.
Good luck, and happ gaming.
