Question about Samsung SCH-a930 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Power cycling My phone won't stop powering on and off. It turns on, acts like it is loading and then restarts the whole thing over again. The only way I can get it to stop is to take out the battery. Is there anything I can do? I took it to Verizon to see if they could check the battery and they just said I need a new phone. I like this phone and all my contact info will be lost. Please help.

Mine is doing the same thing and I just posted. It started doing this when I attempted to forward a video message. My video memory was full prior to receiving this message and I suspect the lack of space may be contributing to the problem.

i have this same problem is there any way to fix it

My phone is now doing the same thing. The ironic thing is that I was actually about to write down all my contacts just incase something happened to my phone. Well, too late now... or is it? Anyone else find a solution to this problem. I tried the method above but to no avail. Even with the battery out of it, as soon as I connect it to the charger the power cycling starts up again and continues to do so even when I throw the battery back in. I too can not lose all my contact info or is that even a possibility now?

I had the same problem. Actually, it began about thirty minutes prior to me posting this solution. Of course this may not work for you but it worked for me.
My problem began after I plugged my phone into my computer. I hadn't done anything to it. I went to turn it on and it entered the seemingly endless restart cycle. It likely had something to do with being plugged into my computer. I toyed with the battery and whatnot but to no avail. Eventually, I took the battery out and put the phone on AC power instead. It made the cycle shorter for some reason but did not solve it.
I then put the battery back and put the phone on AC power. I powered on the phone and it went to the initial loading screen. After that, it went to the charging screen which was weird because my phone should have been at 100%. From there, it proceeded to power on competely. End of problem.
I will note that I also had my USB sync cable plugged into my phone although it was not plugged into the computer. The charger was plugged into the adapter port on the sync cable but I suspect you'll get the same result without it.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

I Agree, I don't think it is any other board, I believe the CCU (central control unit) has gone bad as it keeps on stopping mid cycle. If it was the Motor Control Board (MCU) then the washer motor should have been causing problems (which isn't the case) so replacement of CCU will be a great option. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

That means the PSU( power supply unit ) is already malfunctioning. Try to use a spare PSU and try that if that happens again.

Try this first, unplug the unit and connect it to a different outlet and see if it corrects the problem. If it still continues, you will need to replace the control board. Good luck.

Whirlpool 6th sense front load washing machine stopping mid cycle. Have to turn power off to reset & restart

I have the same problem. Stops randomly during the cycle and turning off the power for a second re-starts it.

I think it is one of the sensors is faulty - for example the sensor that detects if the load is un-balanced, or if the machine has enough water.

Seems to be a common poblem for these machines.

I'm going to try to find which one later today.

HI, this is a Door Open Error.

Possible Causes are..-

* Door not all the way closed
* Loose electrical connections at door switch and pwb assembly(Control Board)
* Door switch assembly is out of order(Miss aligned)
* Gasket on door may be creased in

Most common issue here will be a defective door lock switch. check all causes before replacing the switch.

My Pantech c150 just keeps restarting

Try performing a hard-reset. Take the battery out of the phone for at least a minute and hold down the power button for at least ten seconds afterwards. Replace the battery and turn the phone on, and it will have hopefully cleared up the problem.

Sounds like the timer has given up. I bet if you just barely turn it, it will continue.

It's a common problem with timers like this.

Replace it.
