Pressure leaks(?) in Expressione Retro machine?

I have an Expressione Retro expresso machine - been fine for 18 mnths - but has now started leaking water out the back of the machine (top of unit) with droplets also coming out front top corners as well. Not a great sign. . . . wondering if there is a clog somewhere that is forcing the water back and out of the top of the unit wherever it can squeeze out?? I can't find the manul (of course) and thought I'd ask if anyone has any bright ideas before I try to find a repair shop. . .

Many thanks

I have the same problem with an Espressione Cafe Retro 1835. Pump, heat and steam all work, but no water will come out of the brew head. I called Electra-craft to find a local service center. They said the shower screen is not removable. Their only solution was to try a descaler. I note that they sell the entire brew head/heat unit as a spare part for $95. The shower screen appears to be held in by a brass screw with four holes instead of a normal screw (flat or phillips) head. Does anyone have pictures of how to disassemble this for cleaning?

You can try removing coffee oils from the brew head screen.(not descaling)
but you have to be really handy to remove it from the cafe retro.
need a spring clip or spanner wrench.
if you can get it off try this, if not, send it in to the service center:
Sounds like you might have coffee oil build up. I would suggest soaking the Brew Head Screen, unscrew from the brew head where the coffee oils come into contact with machine, and filter holder in a coffee oil remover by or dezcal.
Remove the screw if your filter basket has one and do not screw too tight when putting back together or it will happen again.

I can not get my expresso to come out, I had no manual with this product. Ariete elisir cafe model 1331

Once you have put the water into the reservoir, you have to turn the machine on (top button) and then let it heat up for 8 - 10 minutes before you turn on the espresso maker button (middle button). Once you're halfway through making your espresso, I would recommend turning on the frother button (bottom one) in order to get up the steam if you're going to make steamed milk.

I hope this helps.

Power steering pump still leaks. This is the second pump I had replaced within 2 years. The new pump lasted only three months before it started leaking again. Please help. Thanks!

Get the power steering pump changed from the outlet from where you have purchased as it is only three mnths used.

Rest check for any blockage in the line as it seems due to heavy pressure and blocked line results into leakage.

I have a Krups XP 7230 Expresso Machine. Water is...

I have a xp7240 which I believe has the same housing as yours. I can remove the bean container by pulling off the grind selector knob and removing the only screw.
Then remove the scute for the cleaning tablets. Then remove the two screws that were covered by the scute. Remove the water tank. Under the tank remove the two screws.
Then the trick where everyone seems to look for: The facade of aluminum can be moved off. Set the machine on the floor and pull hard upwards at the facade. This comes off (pull hard!) and four screw are uncovered. Remove them and pull then back housing of the machine (remove first the containers/drawers). Now the inner parts are freely accessible. Take photos and remove the components from top till bottom to get to the bad parts that need replacement. The valve that leaks is on the bottom of the machine (will cost you a lot of time to get to it. Don't know the replacement price.) Good luck!
