I believe what you are describing is the TalkAbout 101. This unit is non-repairable. Schematics and parts were never released for this model. They are somewhat like a disposable lighter. You use them up and replace them when they don't work any more. (Sorry for the bad news.)

Talkabout MH230R does not Receive or Transmit on channel, can just Transmit (only clicks when Recieve) when programmed 2 channels higher (i.e. all radios on 5-3, one is on 7-3)

Strange. Could it be any of the radios are from different countries? The channels are not worldwide. For instance, Canadian radios are on different frequencies than USA radios. They look identical.

Doesn't transmit

Check your battery. Transmitting takes more energy than receiving. Also, check your frequency and code settings. The radio you are using this one with might have a different code setting than yours. http://shop.giantintl.com/Manuals.asp

Sends transmission okay but, even with volume set high it receives faintly.

You have one of three problems:

1) You are using the radio with another model of radio which is set to wideband channel spacing. (The TalkAbout is narrowband.)

2) You have a radio with a problem. (bad speaker, or plugged speaker grill possibly, or an internal issue)

3) The transmitting radio has a problem, or has debris or something covering the mic hole.

The only way to narrow down the problem is to have a third known good radio in the mix. This will let you know which radio is problematic. The TalkAbout models are for the most part non-repairable (other than the TalkAbout Distance models and the T7200 and T7400.)

I have a Motorola Talkabout T5419 not receiving

motorola has extra security and will not operate with other radio makes very well. It must be locking out the uniden radios.

MOTOROLA TALKABOUT T5400

First check your batteries. Try the battery pack from a known good radio. If you do not have a battery problem, your issue is probably non-reversible. Sorry. This style radio is non-repairable. The repairable Talkabout units include the Distance, Distance DPS, the TA-7400 and TA-7200.
