Question about Fisher Price Power Wheels Kawasaki KFX Ninja Ride-On Toy

1 Answer

Kawasaki Ninja 4-Wheel

A loud audible clicking or slipping of gears sound coming from back of the power wheel, if clicking continues for 5 or more times, vehicle does not go forward. Clicking seems to cease when operated in reverse. Any suggestions as to problem? If can be fixed, where to find parts?

Thank you so much...information/instructions are very clear. Can you add any information about replacing and lubricating the gear(s)? How many gears or drive clutch(es)? Can I replace only the gears or do I have to replace the motor/gear assemblies?

Thanks again...my grandson is patiently waiting me to fix his power wheels.

I have taken a lot of these power wheels apart, there are nylon gears that when the vehicle is powered forward and cannot move the teeth on the plastic gears will wear down and slip.

Here is an ebay site.
To replace the gearbox you will need to take off the axle cap and shaft washer that holds the wheel on.
Slide off the wheel.
I think this power wheel has a silver plastic housing that covers the gearboxes and axle, which means that there will be an amount of screws to take out before you can get to the guts.
Once you get to the wires on the motor you will need to cut and strip them and install the replacement
If you can, I would prefer you would crimp the wires together with a blue or Yellow **** splice, but if you do not have crimper or lugs You can use wire nuts large enough to firmly connect both wires. Then electrical tape the nuts and wires to prevent loosening by vibration. Even though these are 6 volt batteries their current is enough for wires not connected well to overheat, melt and could possibly become a fire hazard.
Ideally the wires from the replacement would be the same color as the original but if not you will want to test to see if while in forward it does go forward. If not you need to reverse the two wires. This is a headache saving measure.
Re-assemble everything making sure that the axle nut or cap goes back on Tightly to prevent the wheel from falling off during use.

Replacing the gearbox and motor is a lot less messy and probably easier.

I have a problem shifting in to second gear on my 2005 zxr6 636

Hi, Robert and the usual suspects are:
1. Clutch dragging slightly.
2. Primary chaincase overfilled with lubricant.
3. Corners wore off shifter clutch dogs.
4. Shifter return spring bent or broken.
5. Bent shifter rod.
6. Loose shift lever on shifter shaft.
7. Shifter forks sprung.
8. Shifter pawl needs adjusting.
9. Heel/toe shifter coming in contact with the floorboard.
10. Transmission oil too heavy.

96 ford wont go into park, drive, or reverse unless in 4 wheel low

Is this a auto or Manual I ask as you say flywheel and all gears. tall us a little more. what is the gearbox ?. have you looked at the oil level and under it at the rear tail shaft, crosses. in 2 wheel drive and running can you get it into park. DON'T try to hard at this as it can damage the auto. If you can drive in 4 wheel low in all gears then it sounds like you may have a problem in the drive line. Tall us more

I have a kawasaki ninja and the back wheel is making a noise when going round as if it may be hitting on something is this the wheel bearing?

If it is it time with each revolution of the wheel, check brake disc for imperfections on both sides of the disc, It may be just a different colour sheen to the worn surface, this would indicate a warped disc and must be replaced. Or, the wheel bearings maybe wearing out, but this would produce a constant sound when wheel is turning. Hopefully it may just be a cog on the rear sprocket that is catching the chain link incorrectly. This could be fixd with a metal file until a new sprocket is needed. Goodluck and Cheers.

2000 Mitsubishi Galant 4 cyl ES underhood squeal on right side

The probable causes are: 1. The drive belts are slipping. 2. The drive pulleys for some engine accessories are misaligned. 3. You have turned the steering wheel to the limits. 4. The drive belts are loose.5. Your brake drum backing plates are rubbing against the brake drum. The brakes also might be a problem. check the brake drums/discs. Finally check your wheel and wheel alignment.

I just acquired a used Kawasaki Ninja Power Wheels 745909993. I bought new batteries and charged them fully. When I plug the batteries to the 4-wheeler, there is a constant clicking sound, there is only...

Usually the clicking noise is caused by a crossed wire in the foot pedal.
I would contact the guys at this website http://www.shopjandl.com/kids---baby-ride-on-toys-power-wheels.html
They seem to know how to figure these toys out.
Hope this helps

Loud clicking noise

Power the machine on with drum and toner removed, check for noise....

It will be either the Fuser, Toner or the drum.

If it is non gen. or refill toner, fault found.

The drum is a normal consumable that you change every 3 to 4 toner cartridges, so if any of you have used more than 4 toners and havent changed the drum, I'd say that we have found your problem.

......now to the hangers on .....

Fuser, thats the hot bit at the back, these have a gear that cracks because the whole fuser assemble is old, brittle and stiff, you can pull it all apart and change the gear and be off, but soon it will more than likely break again, I know cause if I do that as the fix they come back within 6mnts.

Replace fuser, or have it replaced

Fuser is a HiVolt, HiTemp part. Caution!!!!
