Question about Philips ProScreen 4750 Impact Multimedia Projector

2 Answers

Ghosting Image I have the same problem as described in http://www.fixya.com/support/t130193-image_problem_projector_ghosting down to the letter. I would like to expand upon the description, however. I was trying to synchronize the picture quality as best as I could with the portable DVD player the projector was connected to. To do this, I repeatedly plugged and unplugged the cable while the movie was paused. After a couple of cycles, the colors realigned, and it instead displaced the top 10% of the picture and placed it at the bottom. Red does seem to be there, although slightly weak. If the LCD inside is a RGB setup, I guess the Red and Green layers are aligned, and Blue is off. Hope the extra info helps! everyting is working good but it has ghosting image problem

Its the problem of convergence in your device.still try to reset the device by removing all the connections and reinserting firmly and properly at proper places and proper position.and then on the unit.also try disconnecting the dvd and reconnecting the dvd.

thanks.

aperently it has to do with converting the analogue signal to digital or the other way around..rca is the cable type..the signal is what you are having issues with..you may need a converter..it may also require going into the setup menu of the tv and make it recognize the signal..

Duplicate image in pink displays on the screen.

From your description, it sounds like an alignment problem. There are 3 LCD panels in the projector. Each one displays an exact duplicate image of the others except it's either red, green, or blue. Under normal conditions, the images precisely overlay one another so you get a sharp image. Due to age, heat, or vibration/shock(impact) it would appear that the red LCD panel has shifted a little, giving the "ghosting" effect. You'll have to have the unit repaired by a qualified tech. He'll have the special electronic equipment needed to align the panels properly. Before sending the unit in, try a reset in the menu. Sometimes, the projectors can shift the image electronically, using math algorithms which will try to auto-sharpen the display. Hope I was able to help!---Rick

HI there

Firstly this ghosting image will NEVER be caused by your LCD's , so do not take them out.

Have you tried using a different cable ?

If you have and the problem still occurs , you will have to look at replacing the Mainboard.

EZPRO 610H...has a red shadow

this is ghosting, caused by interferance. cheaper cables tend not to have metal sheathing and those ferrite RF suppression thingees on the ends, which prevents this problem.

also, avoid running your signal cables next to power cables. If your cables are long (say more than 10m) this may also cause problems.
