I own the pioneer 1015tx. After only approx 30 hrs of total use I'm no longer able to turn the unit on, either manually or by remote. I've disconnected the plug from the power bar and tried a different outlet to no avail. I'm also sure lightning nor voltage spikes are the cause as there are three other pieces of equipment on the same bar. Is this a common problem with this unit. Is there something else I could try

Try pressing the ENTER + VIDEO2 buttons on the front panel of the unit for 2 seconds. The unit should then come back to life and MCACC should go off.

SOURCE: plugged in no power

the connecting pins have been flattened slightly by putting the plug on and off. i GENTLY squeezed the pins in an upward direction so they would make a better connection.
remember to be gently. when you fix this. do not dismantle the charger again.

Does the pioneer vsx 1015tx has a fuse for the speakers?

Not a fuse for the speakers. There is a protection circuit in the unit that shuts off the audio amp if there is a problem with the speakers drawing too much current.

I need insructions to program aPionner reciver remote AXD7381

The Pioneer AXD7381 remote came with several Pioneer receivers, including the VSX-1015-THX. The manual for the receiver has the instructions for the remote. To program the remote to use it as a universal remote, press and hold the Receiver button. While holding the receiver button, press and hold the 1 key. The remote screen should show Setup. Press the multi-control button (below the LCD screen) appropriate for the device that you wish to have the AXD7381 control. Use the Left/Right arrow keys on the remote to select Preset and press Enter. Use the Up/Down arrows to select the first letter of the device manufacturer's name. Press Enter. Use the Up/Down arrows to select the full name of the manufacture and press Enter. Use the Up/Down arrows to select a code number. Test if the code works with the device; check if the device powers on with the Source On/Off button at the top right of the remote. If it does, press Enter. Otherwise, try a different code and repeat the test. Note: most remotes will only work as an universal remote for devices that were manufactured more than 6 months before the remote was programmed. Since the VSX-1015-THX manual has a copyright date of 2004, it may not control devices that were built in late 2004 or more recently. You could also try programming the remote with a working remote for the device. See the manual for the details.

The manual for the VSX-1015-THX is available on the product page: https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Home/AV-Receivers/Pioneer+Receivers/VSX-1015TX . The direct link to the manual is currently: https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/pe/images/portal/cit_11221/218219130VSX1015TXOperatingInstructions.pdf . The section on programming the remote starts on page 52.

I hope this helps.
