Play system for 30-45 minutes and turns off randomly

This may be a problem with overheating. When the system overheats, it shuts off automatically in order to prevent hardware damage. When your system crashes, try feeling it to see if it is warm or very hot. If this is the case, you may want to move it to a more open area or try putting a fan onto it to reduce the heat. If it doesn't feel hot, then it may be a problem with your fan. If you do not hear a fan running or can't feel the air while playing the game, your internal fan may be busted. I suggest going to a repair store (such as Best Buy) and checking out the issue if it does turn out to be an internal issue.

When i play crysis 2 on my ps3 it goes well, but when i try to play la noire it shuts off and blinks red. whats the problem?

LA Noire has been causing PS3s to overheat. Make sure the PS3 is up to date, then maybe try putting in spot where it can get more air.

My xbox 360 is making clicking noises, vibrates alot, and is extreamly loude while running, i think its the fan in it but im not sure, so what should i do?

Hi Charles

There are several reasons your console is noise , First remove your game and
listen and see if the noise is reduced also the vibration should stop too.
I have seen or heard rather this before . The cause was a the drive spindle
hub some how got skew so the disk wobbled as it was spinning.

The fix was simply to replace the hub/spindel motor .
The rattling sound may be from the tilt switch or pieces of plastic
bouncing around . you will have to open your console to remove the
the small chunks of plastic + blowing it out will help cooling also.

The fan should not make that much noise . If it seems to be loud
then you may need to replace the heat sink compound on the G.P.U.
and the C.P.U.

if you have any questions feel free to ask.

My ps3 old over heating on black ops

Call of Duty Black Ops is a very resource intensive game due to it's high graphical output and complex physics engine. If your PS3 overheats while playing this game it does not always mean that something is wrong with your console, and often the problem can be solved by trying a few minor fixes.

The first and easiest thing to do is simply to turn the console off (using the switch on the back), waiting for about 30 seconds, then turning it back on. Try that, then play the game for a while and see if the problem continues.

If it does, use the switch on the back of PS3 to turn it off, then unplug and replug all of the cables, paying extra attention that all of the cables are secured snugly into the console. For some reason, PS3s tend to overheat when cables are lose.

If neither of these two things help, run your PS3 fro a while, then check the surfaces near your PS3 with your hand and see how hot they are. If you notice a particular surface is getting a lot of heat, try moving your console to a less enclosed space, or to somewhere where there is not an object (shelf, wall, other electronics) too close to your console in the direction that the heat is going.

If you try all of these things your problem should be fixed. If you need anymore help, feel free to post a comment in this section and I can provide continued support.

IT WILL PLAY DVDS AND BURNT DVDS BUT NOT ONE GAME I HAVE. HOW DO I FIX THE PROBLEM OR WHERE DO I SENT IT TO GET IT WORKING?

this sounds like he bluray llaser has gone kaput, there were a lot of the early fat ps3s that did this, if it is in warranty take it back to the store, if not ring sony careline, but dont pay for the expensive call lines, go to say no to 0870 .com and type in sony there is a uk based Landline number you can call and usually jump the long queue too.

2 flashing red lights

Two flashing red lights means it has overheated. Maybee it does have alot of ventilation but the dust may have ecumulated to an amount that can not escape the system case. Clean it really well with a can of compressed air and make sure fan is running in the back. Some fans fail but continue to spin so if it looks to slow it probably is. You can watch you tubes tutorials about opening and cleaning your console. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

2 left side red 1/2 ring ligts

These two lights are actually an indication of overheating. Typically this happens if the heat synch is not making good contact with the cpu or gpu, or the cooling fan is not working properly.
If the fan gets really loud just before it overheats and turns off then it is likely a heat synch issue
You can try searching for the xclamp replacement fix (I won't leave my own tutorial here as there are a plethera of them out there, just use a search engine to find them)
If the fans do not make noise - it may be that they are not working properly, you may want to replace it with another cooling fan. Talismoon fans are widely available and very quiet.
Try cleaning the console - dust and debris trapped inside the console traps heat as well.
Other than that if the console is usuable for more than a few minutes and it overheats after an hour or more, then you can try removing the heatshield (metal piece located under the top plastic cover) and or replacing the cooling fan with a more effecient fan. Please note that removing the heatshield is not recommended as it protects the top of the console from the extreme heat built up by the console, but removing it does allow for a much more significant amount of air flow.
Try and keep the console off the ground - along with the power supply

Play it horizontally instead of vertically and keep it away from carpets which trap heat and other sources of heat.
As always contact microsoft for warranty info prior to opening the console or letting someone else fix it for you.
Hope that helps.

360 problem..

well, it seems your dvd drive isnt working properly.

First Id suggest cleaning it with something similiar to this:
http://www.amazon.com/Intec-G8215-Xbox-Lens-Cleaning/dp/B00006DY1L

If that doesnt help after a few trys.

You would need to replace your drive, but before you replace it make sure it really doesnt work.

Replaceing the drive is not a simple task but before replaceing the whole drive you might want to try this for example:

also have a look around here http://www.mod-chip.com/
