How do you set the canon imagerunner 1023if to automatically recieve faxes

Install the downloaded driver. There's an option if your machine is connected on a network or directly connected to a computer using USB. If you choose connected on a network, you should manually set the IP address. If you choose USB, the driver will detect the machine automatically.

Tell them to ry to send from another fax LINE and machine, so that you will know if the problem persist its problem in your line or machine.

1) on copier you have a button add. functions-something like *
2) with + or - trough the menu press OK at FAX sett. or under report sett.- If I recall its under Fax sett.
3) try to find report sett. then OK
4) you must enable the RX REPORT than OK


For transmision report you must enable TX REPORT

1)Press the Additional Funktion button.
2)Press the arrowkeys untill 6 TIMER SETTINGS is displayed Press the OK KEY
3)Confirm that DATE TIME SETTING is displayed and press then the OK key
4)Change the date and time

Press "Additional Functions" button. <common settings> should be displayed, if not press the "+" or "-" button until common settings is displayed. Press "ok". Press "+" or "-" button until "Audible Tones" is displayed. Press "ok". Walk through this submenu to locate the fax volume. Press "ok". Adjust as needed. Press ok. Press stop to exit settings mode.

Is this fax line shared with the phone? I believe there is a distictive ring setting in the add'l functions area under communication settings then receive settings. you would need to select a ring pattern different so the fax can tell between which types of calls it is receiving.

It has worked for me in serveral other installs

Do your company have a mail server and wat is its ipadress?

First try to check your fax settings.Your 'line settings' has to be set to 'tone' and not "pulse".
Set your fax mode for "fax only"

And try again.

Check view setting button to see if any jobs are pending if so you can clear them in there, try unpluging the machine for a few minutes if none of this work it could be the main board
