The Acer Aspire netbook I bought has a switch on it to connect to the WiFi Internet G. If you want to use the dongle to communicate on the Internet, then first try to use the built in Wifi to install the driver for it.
There is a possibility that the USB stick may not be compatible with the new operating system. You should first contact Sprint to verify that it will work with your OS. Give them the model number of the broadband stick and the name of your operating system and whether it is 32 or 64-bit. If it is compatible, they should also be able to direct you in the correct procedure to install the device.
After installing Windows 7 and any other new applications, please ensure that you have loaded ALL the required W7 drivers for your specific Aspire One especially the CHIPSET supports driver (if not, plug-in devices and other inbuilt devices like sound, modem, usb or video will not work properly).

You first need to establish that you have internet available to your router via cable modem, dsl, etc. Unless your modem is also your wireless router. Take your ethernet connection or cable that resembles a large phone
cable and plug in your Acer One directly into the router. You should
then be able to get internet. If not, you may have a problem with your
internet in general and need to contact your Internet Service Provider.
Also if possible try another pc, see if it has internet. Lastly try
reinstalling wireless diver in device manager.
