Dear mrshirsh,

I understand that, the machine does not spin, and the clothes are locked in the machine. Display F:18

Huuum to your rescue!

Peace Friend,
At your service!

You have an error code and the machine locked up.

Try this to reset the machine,
First unplug the washer and wait a few minutes then restart it like rebooting your computer when its acting strange!
If it corrects the problem GREAT.

If not your only choice may have to be a hands on tech to make the electronic diagnoses.

Let me know how it works?
I'm waiting for your reply.
Bless you,
Huuum

Repair or replace?

When to pull the plug on your old refrigerator

It nearly always makes sense to undertake simple do-it-yourself repairs,
such as replacing a gasket on a refrigerator or a freezer.

Typically, you'll also find a troubleshooting section for more-serious problems
in the owner's manual.

Should you pay for a repair or buy a new model?
The answer depends mostly on the age of your refrigerator,
how much you bought it for,and the cost of the repair.

Follow these guidelines:

When a repair makes sense.

If your refrigerator is under warranty or less than four years old (three years for top-freezers),
paying for a repair makes sense.
Note that refrigerators under warranty might require service from a factory-authorized technician;
readers have found them on a par with independent repairers.

When a repair might be a wise choice.

If your refrigerator is out of warranty and is four to seven years old,
it might make sense to pay for a repair. Customers generally pay $100 to $200 for a repair.
But you might want to buy a new model even at this stage,
given that today's models are quieter and have added features.
Higher energy efficiency is another plus: Energy Star-qualified models made after April 28, 2008,
are 43 percent more efficient than conventional models built before 2001 and 56 percent
more efficient than those built before 1993.

When it pays to replace.

The repair costs more than half the price of a comparable new refrigerator.
Data also shows that it doesn't pay to fix a less-expensive top-freezer refrigerator
six or more years old or a bottom-freezer or side-by-side eight or more years old.

Thanks to better recycling programs, less than 10 percent
of a refrigerator you replace is likely to end up in a landfill.

Whirlpool washing machine WFS1273AW manual

I have a whirlpool WFS 1273 AW front loader that gets stuck in the spin cycle. The timer counts down from 18 minutes to 17 minutes and starts to spin but before it gets to full speed the control panel lights all flash, go blank, and the. The timer resets to 18 minutes. I have cleaned he drain pump, removed the clothes and tried it when empty and it does the same thing. It does not appear out of balance.

Press and hold "end of cycle" button for 3 seconds, on the right side of panel. This is the child lock feature, do it again & it locks.

Washer doesn't spin

let the machine rest for a long time (cool off) then with no water or clothes try spinning it...
no spin problem can be several headaches:
too much clothes (too heavy)
drive coupler broken
broken lid switch
basket freeze
pump locked
clothing in pump
clothing in between basket
clutch locked up
brake locked up
transmission seized!!!

it is hard to determine exactly without being there to help you...just check what you can... if you have additional questions let me know

My wash machine wash the clothes but not doing the final spin, all the clothes all soak and wet

Handyman here -

Its possible that the door is not locking properly. If the door doesn't lock the machine will wash, but not spin the clothes dry. If you wait 15mins or so after machine is done, then set cycle to spin, it will pump any water that has dripped off your clothes out, but again it will not spin. Helps a little.

Good Luck!

Whirlpool awo 3751/5 will not spin

Hi,
There is a locking coupler on the Whirlpool washing machines that locks when it kicks into spinning cycle. I am guessing here, but if you try and run it without any clothes in it, it will probably spin. It will be slow starting, but it will probably spin.

The coupler is located down by the motor and is three pieces. They made it out of plastic, and while it typically holds up very well, they do break. I will try to look up the part # you need to fix it. (assuming this is your problem)

Tub sometimes will not spin to wring out clothes.

Sounds like the machine is not pausing between cycles to allow the transmission to lock into spin.

Wont go into final spin

The final spin on this model requires an additional lock from the computer to the door. Remove upper rear panel and look at board. Find the tiny resistor that says R-11. If it's burnt looking the board and the wax motor (at the lock) need replaced

Dripping wet clothes

will be an UNBalanced load, maybe there was not enough clothes in the load so in that case the drum would not be able to distribute the load evenly so gave up on the spin, hence wet stuff!
