Question about GE 25 in. Nautilus GSC3400J Free-standing Dishwasher
Dish washer gets 123.5volts, checked w/Fluke meter, however the display wont light up and no motor operation, no sound, basically seems dead. Is there a internall fuse of some kind? if the capacitor goes bad, will that cause the machine to completely go dead?
all fill cycles on a dishwasher is timed. so at the end of the fill cycle the dishwasher may run. the first thing I would check is to make sure the water inlet valve is good. for this you will need a volt/ohm meter. you will want to make sure that there is 120v going to the valve. if there is you then would want to remove the wire connector on the valve and ohm it out. if you get a reading anywhere from maybe 450-650 the valve should be good and you will want to check for a blockage. good luck

The Water Inlet Valve is not Working. This is a small piece at the bottom of the dishwasher where the inlet hose connects to. The Valve is stuck and water will not enter the dishwasher itself. Of course this is one of the most expensive pieces of the dishwasher to replace!
