It's possible that the inside of the button has gotten some soap or "gunk" which is showing the button as being held on. Try and clean out around and behind the button, even a small squirt of WD 30 may loosen anything behind the button. Make sure the power is off before doing anything.

Universal remotes have loads of codes in the remote.to select the right one first select tv button then select the on button over and over again until the tv turns on. Thesis then the right code. Sometime it take 200 pushes of the power button to find the right make and model of the tv.

It sounds like the hi-limit safety thermostat may be tripped, that is the component that typically trips/activates during a self clean on many ranges. You shouldn't need to open the front control panel, but access is through the back.

You'll need to slide the range/oven outfrom the cabinet. If you slide the unit away from the wall and unplug it you can replace the hi-limit. It will be a non-reset type hi-limit (based on the model number you posted) so needs to be replaced as I mentioned, doing so will get you back up and cooking in no time.

**Unplug the range from the wall first of course...safety first**

Once you remove the panel you will need to look for a switch/thermostat which looks like this...



The replacement according to the model number posted is 9759242 and available at "searspartsdirect.com" or "repairclinic.com" to name a couple.

If the learn button is 'amber' the model 956 remote should work with it. Try this method for programming just in case your aren't.

Hold the button down on the remote while your press and immediately release the learn button. Main light should flash.

There is always the possibility that the receiver has quit working.

Unlock vehicle. Enter vehicle. Close driver's door. Switch ignition ON and OFF. Remove ignition key. Press and hold unlock button. Press lock button briefly 3 times within 10 seconds keeping unlock button depressed. Release unlock button. Some models: LED flashes slowly for 10 seconds. Some models: Central locking system locks and unlocks rapidly to indicate correct programming. Repeat above procedure if central locking system does not work and LED does not flash or LED flashes continuously.

If this does not work for your model revert back to me along with your model number
1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not,
press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal..

If you have got a USB receiver for the wireless keyboard and mouse, then the solution might be with the receiver. Normally we know that to play a USB thumb drive, we simply plug in and play. But some model of Acer computer require us to press the button on the thumb drive to activate it. The model I had (an Aspire model) set the press button same as the blicking light bulb. So (a) turn on computer, (b) plug in thumb drive receiver (c) press button on the drive, (d) press "contact" button on the mouse and keyboard. That works for me.
