Check for short pin 2 to 4 ground on vertical def.

Took off the cover and disconnected the switch wires. If there was no change. Then just started going through all the menu choices, and (i think) the a/v reset did the trick.

Bottom line, if complete control of the system back. Let me know if you need further assitance.

    Hi

It assuming to be tube is out and it could be. the reason. Then it is time for a new tv
    for sure.

The other reason may be the circuit in the tv that could cause this is the
video driver circuit. a repair on this would range around 250.00 or so.
Now last thing is a loose cable from your cable box to the tv. If there are more cables from the switch box to the TV one could be loose.
    Now
if you are running straight cable then this is not a issue. hope this
    helps?
Just let me know if this help you out.

    Have a great day!

    Hi There,

    Thanks for your reply.

The Mitsubishi 525 series, 725 series, and 825 series DLP TVs display all signals at a 1280 x 720p resolution.

Mitsubishi ALPHA Series LCoS TV displays all signals at a 1920 x 1080p resolution.

So please check out the resolution and adjust it first. Also let me know about the warranty period.

    Regards

    Hi there,

If the lamp fails in a Mitsubishi MicroDisplay TV, there will be no
picture on the screen and a red front panel LED indicator will
    illuminate.

    Regards

UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ON FOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD “device” and “menu” buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together.

Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protect the Convergence IC or IC’s is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergence IC and shut down.

SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES AND THEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

When turned on, my Mitsubishi TV shuts off after a few seconds.

the lamp is simple; yet you can run into problems with this tv. be very careful replacing lamp. the plug in the tv can be damaged. (due to the design)

Minium is the green picture tube need to be replaced, if you can take the front cover and access panel off there is a control with 3 focus and screen controls.
you can adjust the 3 screen controls to possibly get a little more time out of it before the crt's need to be replaced. careful if you turn them down too much there will be no picture, and if you turn them too high the tv will go bright and shut off
