replaced water filter but can't get red light to turn off.

Hello there and welcome to fixya
This is a rather easy fix please try this
Maytag and Jenn-Air - press and hold the lock and light buttons (lock and water on newer fridges) on the dispenser for about 4 seconds, until the indicator light blinks.

Suggested Solution (3)

You have to reset the light by pressing and holding the touch pad for 3-5 seconds. It doesn't reset on its own when you replace the filter

try holding ice type and child lock together for 3 seconds that worked on mine

Not positvie for that model but there should be a little reset button, or try just unplugging the unit and waiting 60 secs before plugging it back in. Hope that helps
