I have the Digital Concepts CR-75-P 51-in1 Card reader/writer and I have tried it on 2 different computers and tried 3 different Sim cards but but the reader can not read the Sim cards. I installed the software correctly and at least one of the two computers I used I know that the USB are USB 2.0 compliant. Both computera also was running XP. One with SP3 and the other with SP2.

I personally uploaded this because it took me over an hour to get my sim card reader working. After a reboot, it works on win7 and XP. booya.
After that I downloaded Sim Card Data Recovery Doctor to do some cool stuff.

1. Is the card supported by the card read?
2. Have you install/uninstall any software recently?
3. Is there any red or yellow alert in your device manager? If so, go an check if it is card reader related.

Unable to take pictures from card /writer to computer

Once you have inserted your memory card in the reader, usually after a few seconds a dialog box will ask you if you want to open the pictures, copy them, etc. If not, you might have to manually check the drive letter assigned to the card by examining the drives under windows explorer. Once you have figured this out, you can copy the files from the card to your PC

I'm trying to use the Sakar CR-75 Digital Card Reader to transfer photos from my telephone memory card to my computer. I've done this in the past with the same card and the same computer but now I can't...

does the same happen if you try on another computer (if it does then replace the cable or connect device directly without usb cable extension (if applicable))
if it works fine on another computer..
what happen after you plugged the device on your computer? have you try different usb ports? does other devices work fine on the same usb ports on your computer?

Write protected error using Sandisk card in Digital Concepts CR-75 Reader

Try a different reader if you can - laptops comes with an SD reader sometimes. Or take it to a computer store or possibly radio shack would have one open to test.

Or just replace the card - 1gb cards are $20 now.
