SOURCE: Error Saving Image

From HP's website:
Check this document:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00191836&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=&product=410648

Error saving image or Error saving video. The optional memory card that is installed was removed before the camera finished writing to the card or was half-locked.

  • Always wait until the Memory light stops blinking before removing the memory card from the camera.
  • With the camera turned off, remove the memory card and check to see if the locking tab on the edge of the card is fully in the unlocked position.

Also, check this link:

You might just have to reformat your memory card.

SOURCE: unsupported card error on r725 photosmart hp

I've had this happen a few times. I simply removed the memory card and reinserted it. Usually that does the trick on the first try. On a bad day I've had to do it 3 or 4 times in a row until it just worked.

My memory card keeps saying error what is the matter

- First identify the type of card, some memory card has lock or adapter. - Second, check the condition of the card.
  • Locked switch position
  • Visible discolorations or defects such as crack or nick in the card
  • Missing contacts at the end of the card
  • Deep scratches in the card contacts
  • Heat discoloration on the card
- Next, sure that the file format of the picture is supported by your printer - Then, try to save the file on your computer (If the computer can't read the memory card, the card might be causing the problem, you might contact the manufacturer of the card or replace the card) - If you successfully save the file on the computer, try other device like camera etc. - Format the memory card and try to capture an image and check if the file is corrupted or not. - If an error 'Unsupported Image File' appears, the memory is defective. try replacing the card or contact the manufacturer for further troubleshooting. - If the image displays properly, reinsert the memory to the printer. If the same error appears again, try using another memory card. - If the new memory card has the same issue try the steps provided above. And if the same error appears again after doing the steps call HP support to service your printer.

PNY Optima SD HC Card cannot be read in HP Photosmart 8150 printer.

  1. Verify that the printer is turned off.
  2. Remove the Secure Digital memory card from the printer.
  3. Examine the Secure Digital memory card:
    • Is the lock switch in the unlock position?
    • Are there any visible discolorations or defects such as crack or nick in the card?
    • Are there any contacts missing from the end of the card?
    • Are there any deep scratches in the card contacts?
    • Is there any heat discoloration on the card? NOTE: If all of the above questions result in No , proceed to Step 4.
  4. Check if the HP Photosmart printer supports the file format. NOTE: In order to know which file formats are supported by the different HP Photosmart printers, please refer to the manual of your printer.
  5. (Saving the pictures on the PC, if possible) Insert the Secure Digital memory card in the camera (or another device) and format it following the proper instructions to perform it.
  6. Capture an image.
  7. Review the image. If the image is corrupted or an error such as Unsupported Image File is displayed, the Secure Digital memory card is suspected to be defective and should either be replaced or referred to the manufacturer for further troubleshooting.
  8. If the images are read properly, turn on the printer. Insert the Secure Digital memory card in the Secure Digital slot.
  9. If the printer display continues to show the Card Not Recognized error, try using another Secure Digital memory card, if one is available.
  10. If the printer is still unable to read a functional and compatible Secure Digital card, contact HP to obtain additional troubleshooting information.

I can not figure out how to scan a document onto my computer from the printer

I am not sure if you have been able to scan yet but I just did this on mine and it worked fine. Go to the icon HP solution center-should be on your desktop; click on scan picture, (Put picture on glass first in printer and close cover) click picture to file, click scan; click on base name and type the name for you picture then save location click browse and choose file to save to and then click ok. it will show you a copy of the image then click on finish. The picture will show up at the bottom of your file.

Cannot delete images in the camera.

Check the card and see that the little slide switch on the side is moved to the unlock or clear position. You try to delete images off another card to see if it is the camera that is defective. Is it still under warranty?
