Question about Car Audio & Video
I've had deh-p6000ub for 2 months and it read my ipod great. Then it just stopped recognizing any input on the USB cable. I've restored my I-POD and tried flash drives as suggested by pioneer tech support. When that didn't work I went back to Best Buy and they checked the installation and wiring with no solution.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: My device is no loner recognized
Go into the device manager, click on View > Show hidden devices. Look under unknown devices or under USB for unknown devices. Also check under the section relating to the type of usb device. If you find an Unknown Device, or a device with an exclamation point, right click on it and uninstall. Disconnect the device, reboot and install the drivers/software for it if any. If it's still not working check it in another computer. If you cannot get it to work in either machine, the usb plug of the device is probably damaged. Possibly a loose solder joint. Have the manufacturer send you a new one if its still under warranty.

Yes, you can use the AUX input in the back or buy the IPOD Adapter for it
Best of Luck.

I spoke with my friend at local car audio shop, apparently even though they don't say so pre-5g ipods are not supported without the ipod adapter box. I think I paid like $30 bucks for it and now my mini works fine with the deck.

Pioneer head units (decks) have a function wherein u can opt for AUX -ON / OFF.Similarly USB -ON /OFF.Why is this function given,i dont know.
To choose AUX "ON" or USB "ON" put the power OFF from the SRC SWITCH,PRESS THE MULTICONTROL ROTARY KNOB for 1-2 seconds .the display will show AUX OFF or USB OFF.Select "ON"on pressing the multicontrol knob again.
Now connect your device via the AUX or USB jack and see
i hope your problem is solved.
